Mount Sterling Topix/Craigslist replacement » Re: When Jesus is in it?
It’s good to be Home in Owingsville, from the Elder. It looks like another one has God’s forgiveness, and helping Power to overcome. Thanks to the Rev. alex Virch for His work in the Ministry So another trip down to, a Bath County Ky creek. It’s great to have God’s people helping you when Have to go out in God’s work, We all are sent out in this world, sometimes it’s in our own town, we as God’s people are forgiven and told to reach to the brokenness in our world, when we let our light shine, it is to the broken world, we show that Jesus is still working in the human race wherever we Go He is there., when we call out to Him, He will be there, when we tell people about Acts 4:12, we also need to tell them about the all of the acts of the Apostles, but point to Acts 4 all of it and then show them that the Jesus we are talking about is the one God is telling us about in John 1:1-4- that Christmas Jesus that Luke is tell us about in Luke 2:1-22- show them that God already loves us all, and has Redeemed us all, and says, John 3:15-17 is already His will for us to follow. God’s People should go into the lives of the brokenness of mankind, But only with the armor of God, on them in them with them, Read this for the Help God offers us, and tells us to put on so we can be protected, Paul’s illustration of the full armor of God, is analogous to the spiritual realm. Often the western mindset is oblivious to the spirit world. Realizing the spiritual equivalency of our armor is crucial to our Christian walk. We should consider that fighting spiritual battles with physical weapons is like bringing a knife to a gunfight! Understanding each item of armor is essential to our success in this multidimensional sin war. Let’s now explore the famous passage in question and the unique attributes of each piece of armor, Ephesians 6:10–18: Keep in mind that We as humans need to understand that Brokenness. It can mean a lot of things. It may imply messiness and imperfection. It may mean heartbreak. It may mean physical weakness. For some, it’s a reason to demand pity; for others, it’s motivation to stay “true to themselves” in their flawed humanity and not attempt to appear all put together in a nice, neat package. For others it’s a cool word, a trend. There’s a lot we could talk about in regards to the meaning of brokenness. But I want to talk specifically about brokenness before the Lord. and how His people are to reach to all of the brokenness of this world. The bad shape anyone can fall in to is very clear in the Scripture, A Perfect Example is told to us in 2 Samuel 12 and Psalm 51 we see it: the beauty of brokenness. “Why, then, have you despised the word of the Lord and done this horrible deed? For you have murdered Uriah the Hittite with the sword of the Ammonites and stolen his wife.” this is when someone fall away, from God, But as His saved people we are to look for the brokenness of this world and show them that there is a better way, and it really is the Best way for mankind, Just read what God said in Proverbs 13:15, “The way of the transgressor is hard, ” no one was excluded from that principle – not even David, one of the greatest men to ever live; and in Psalm 51 we get a peek into that. We see a man truly broken by his transgression. We see it in a man who cries out to the Lord for mercy, who knows that he has no hope outside of Who God is (51:1-2). We see it in a man whose sin looms largely in his mind, reminding him again and again of his humanity and failure (51:3-6). We see it in a man whose greatest desire in this moment is just to be clean again, just to have his ugliness erased, just to be pure, just to be forgiven and restored to his precious friendship with the Lord, and is asking the only One capable to accomplish it. (51:7-15). We see it in a man who would do anything to get back to an unhindered relationship with the Lord again, except that he knows he cannot do anything. It is not within his power to right this wrong (51:16-19). We see it in a man who says this: “The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God” (51:17). In our day we see it everywhere. He wants to help us, and He did, with our and anyone's spiritual brokenness, the kind of brokenness He can use, He wants us to reach a hand to show them the way is in Jesus. He wants godly sorrow that leads to repentance (2 Cor. 7:10). Many in our world struggled deeply with a sinful lifestyle. We are the Light. In a dark world. When God comes into a person we should stand behind them and help them. Upon giving their testimony the person has already said they do have to anymore that is not us at work in them it would only come from God His way beginning in a person., “The most wonderful thing about sin is that it makes you so desperate that all you want is God.” All God is doing is showing His power in His people. Yes, deep sin can make us desperate. God’s people only letGod’s light show the way. Do you remember when God took you out of brokenness? And out of that desperation, out of grief and the hurt of a fractured heart over sin, God longs to produce humility in us. It is humility that allows us to recognize, as David did, who God is and who we are in comparison with him. It is humility that sets us up to come to grips with our sin. The reason brokenness is beautiful is because of how God can use it in our lives. It is something that can draw us near to Him. Brokenness can make room for a contrite heart and repentance to bring us back into fellowship with Him when we have miserably failed. It is not lovely in and of itself, it is not the end of the journey, it is not a cute hashtag to put on a picture of a dirty house. It’s not a word to use when you want to feel “authentic”. Standing alone, it is messy and sad. No, the beauty in spiritual brokenness is found in where it brings us. True brokenness is a tool by which God brings His wandering sheep back into His loving arms. Have you ever read 1 Corinthians 15:43, “Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength.” power in coming out of our brokenness. What about this,? “There’s Hope for Human Brokenness.” - Psalm 34:18. We have all been broken in some way, no matter what your path, no matter where you came from, no matter where you started, no matter where you finished, no matter how rich you are, how poor you are, everyone at some level has been broken. That’s good news because as human beings, brokenness binds us together. It’s the one thing that we all have in common. And God has called “those of us who’ve experienced His peace, ” “to be peacemakers” by sharing: His love and His grace “with our neighbors.” This is when God gives us a great gift, He lets us see our brokeness, Being broken is a gift, because when we are broken, we recognize the need for a Savior to make us whole. We need to show them the way, it is God’s will for those who are shining a Light in this dark world. Keep in mind this, How does God see them? Psalms 34:18 says: “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and sees the crushed in spirit.” God sees them and is near to them. He cares for them deeply. Beware of yourselves, Is your brokenness impacting their brokenness? Maybe the way you are responding, speaking, treating, or reacting to them is impacting their reaction to you? Are your past wounds (lack of esteem, failures, harsh critics) controlling the way you perceive this person? Ask God to reveal to you what a loving response would look like. Always ask yourselves, What is God’s dream for them? While you can’t know the details, you can certainly understand the broad strokes. Not only are they beautifully and purposefully made by God but he desires them to be fruitful and to flourish. (Psalms 1:1-3; Psalms 139:13-16; Isaiah 43:4; Zephaniah 3:17). When doing God’s work you are looking for this in yourselves, What are some ways to build them up? To speak God’s heart to them? As a pastor, I find that a word of encouragement can go a long way. Try it out. Maybe you will find an openness that you never thought was there. Ask God for humility. The Bible says it is easy to see the speck in another’s eye and not the plank in your own (Matthew 7:3). Ask God to remove your judgment and impatience and to replace them with humility and compassion. Pray and give thanks for them. Most important of all, thank God for them. Pray for them and ask God to bless them. Witness the difference it will make. (1 John 5:16) Trust in God’s desire to bring healing Many of us will have aspects of physical, emotional, and spiritual brokenness that we will carry for the rest of our lives. However, the truth we must understand is that God is in the process of bringing healing to those things and situations, including to the person you have identified above. Next time you feel yourself getting angry or frustrated, ask God to help you to listen first. Try to imagine yourself in the other person’s place to understand why they are doing what they’re doing. Remember your own brokenness. Be reminded of your own blind spots and ask God for a renewal of grace for them once again. It doesn’t mean you condone their actions. It simply means you love them in spite of their brokenness. Until next time the Elder. The Character of Saving Faith the very thing God’s people follow. From the Kidd Family Ministry, 463 East High st. Owingsville Ky. email [email protected]. 859-274-2617 call anytime. Being a Christian is more than identifying yourself with a particular religion or affirming a certain value system. Being a Christian means you have embraced what the Bible says about God, mankind, Jesus Christ and salvation. Consider the following truths found in Scripture. Sanctification is the setting aside from our past sins, and it is God who does that and the person knows that God has done this for them, 1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. We see when we read this that God is not playing a game, over a lifetime. That new Beginning is very real, 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. This is sanctification from the past sin we still have to go on, that is, This is God giving us a new start, that's why we are told to work out our salvation here below, because we are still human, and still have to repent. Many reject this teaching, but as we read it, it becomes very clear, While Phil 2:12 keep in mind that you are still just a human here on earth. Beware of men who change the working out of your salvation here below, into a lifetime of sanctification when God tells us the sanctification He is telling us about only comes when He has forgiveness from our past sin, Working out our salvation Here below only can happen after we are forgiven for our past sin, this is what that new Beginning, that New Birth, Borned again forgiveness brings to a human walk with God on this earth, Read 1. When God forgives us and sanctifies us, this can happen. Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:13-16) 2. Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass. (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24) 3. Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. (Matthew 5:48) 4. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified. (John 17:17-19) 5. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17) 6. Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is true worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:1-2) 7. For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age. (Titus 2:11-12) 8. Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. (Hebrews 12:14) 9. Consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am the LORD your God. Keep my decrees and follow them. I am the LORD, who makes you holy. (Leviticus 20:7) 10. “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” (1 Peter 2:24) We are told this, Philippians 1:6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ All our efforts toward holiness are useless apart from (1) the work of Christ on the cross (Heb. 10:10) and (2) the work of God’s Spirit in us. Paul highlighted the Holy Spirit’s role with repetition of the phrase “by the Spirit” in Galatians 5:16, 18, 25. He used the phrase “sanctified by the Holy Spirit” in Roman 15:16, and in Romans 8:13 he said it is “by the Spirit” that we are able to “put to death the deeds of the body.” When God forgives us, Scripture reminds us that sanctification is a gift of God’s grace of forgiveness, to those he has called (Ephesians 1:5) and forgiven. True sanctification sets a person aside to God and God’s work on this earth, this is why men quickly change it into something else, because when it happens to a person they will only stand for what the bible says, no one can take them out of the hands of Jesus after God has sanctified them. John 10:28-29 . Because of this, it comes to us, not because of our own effort or merit. 1 Corinthians 6:11 reminds us, “But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” The reality that our efforts and merit don’t earn sanctification It is Repentance, that should bring us before God with grateful acceptance and thanksgiving (1 Corinthians 1:30). This forgiveness from our past sin, and knowing that God forgave us, gets us ready for the long trip through this human time on earth, it gives us proof of forgiveness, that a new beginning is true, and we are set aside by God Himself. Scripture reminds us that the result of sanctification is renewal and righteousness. All people are “fearfully and wonderfully made” in the image of God (Psalm 139:14; Genesis 1:26–28). However, the elect are given a new name: “new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17). According to Paul, those who are a “new creation” in Christ experience a passing away of their old, sinful ways of life and begin to walk in “newness of life” (Romans 6:4). As we walk in this newness of life, we can trust that God will finish the work of change and transformation he began in us (Philippians 1:6). One evidence of change is our growth in righteousness, wherein we pursue holy, godly actions that align with God’s Word (2 Corinthians 7:1). While we still sin throughout our process of sanctification, one of its results is ongoing growth in godly living that aligns with Scripture. The world and culture we live in tempts us to become easily frustrated when progress isn’t quickly achieved. However, those who are God’s children are being sanctified day by day, an act and gift of God’s goodness and grace. As you look back on your growth, be encouraged by the evidence of renewal and righteousness in your life! God promises to continue his work of renewal until you reach your glorification. As we faithfully run the race, we can be encouraged that God continues to sanctify us, shaping us to be his disciples. And as we acknowledge the work that Christ has done for and in us, we can share that hope and new life with others around us and across the globe. Beware of following after a someday sanctification, that false teachers teach, because while you look for that soledad they get to use you and they will do it. when God forgives it not someday it is real. To be sanctified, as God tells us in the Bible, is this. Saved people have a Purpose, they now live with a new beginning. All they do is based on the Bible, because, God’s Word, composed of sixty-six books that are inspired and inerrant in the original manuscripts. As God’s perfect and complete written Word, the Bible cannot and shall not be amended (Proverbs 30:6; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Revelation 22:18-19). And it tells us this. To see God exalted as His grace and truth in Jesus Christ abound in and overflow to more and more people (1 Chr. 29:10-13; Jn. 1:14-17 2 Cor. 4:15; Jn. 7:37-39; Mt. 28:19-20; 1 Tim. 1:12-17) True faith is always accompanied by repentance from sin. Repentance is agreeing with God that you are sinful, confessing your sins to Him, making a conscious choice to turn from sin (Luke 13:3, 5; 1 Thessalonians 1:9), pursuing Christ (Matthew 11:28-30; John 17:3), and obeying Him (1 John 2:3). It isn’t enough to believe certain facts about Christ. Even Satan and his demons believe in the true God (James 2:19), but they don’t love and obey Him. True saving faith always responds in obedience (Ephesians 2:10). We are always following God this way. We also give scripture for all we do. To see God so work in the lives of unbelievers that they would become Observers of His grace and truth in Jesus Christ (Mt. 5:13-16; Phil. 2:14-16; Col. 4:5-6; 1 Pet. 3:15). Our desire is to see the grace of God active in touching and arousing the curiosity of unbelievers. To see God so work in the lives of unbelievers that they would become Receivers of His grace and truth in Jesus Christ (Jn. 1:12; 3:36; Eph. 2:1-9; 1 Th. 1:2-9; 1 Tim. 2:3-4). Our desire is to see the grace of God active in convicting and saving those who are perishing. To see God so work in the lives of believers that they would grow as life-long Students of His grace and truth in Jesus Christ (Mt. 11:28-30; Rom. 12:1-2; Titus 2:11-14; 2 Pet. 3:17-18). Our desire is to see the grace of God active in teaching and transforming those who are saved. To see God so work in the lives of believers that they would become increasingly fruitful Ministers of His grace and truth in Jesus Christ (Rom. 12:3-8; 2 Cor. 9:8; Eph. 4:11-12; 1 Pet. 4:10-11). Our desire is to see the grace of God active in equipping and empowering believers for greater and greater impact. To see God so work in the lives of believers and whole churches that they would become powerful Extenders of His grace and truth in Jesus Christ (Mt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; 13:2; 2 Cor. 4:15). Our desire is to see the grace of God active in expanding and multiplying His church into a spiritually dark and dying world. Priorities we see when we attend a Church anywhere. Exaltation Expository Preaching (Ps. 19:7-10; Acts 20:27; Rom. 10:14-17; 2 Tim. 4:1-5) Authentic Worship (Ps. 96; 145; 150; Jn. 4:24; Rom. 12:1-2) Constant Prayer (Ps. 105:3-4; Mt. 6:5-15; Phil. 4:4-7; Heb. 4:14-16) Faith-Driven Obedience (Jn. 14:21; Heb. 11:6; Jms. 2:14-26) Equipping Systematic Teaching (Mt. 28:20; Eph. 4:11-12; Col. 1:28; 2 Tim. 3:16-17) Godly Modeling (1 Cor. 11:1; Phil. 4:9; 1 Th. 2:8; 1 Tim. 4:12) Leadership Development (Mt. 9:38; 28:19-20; 1 Tim. 3:1-7; 2 Tim. 2:2) Encouragement Biblical Shepherding (Mt. 9:36-38; Acts 20:28; 1 Pet. 5:1-3) Agape Fellowship (Jn. 13:34-35; Phil. 2:1-11; Heb. 10:23-25) Gracious Confrontation (Pr. 27:6; Mt. 18:15-17; Gal. 6:1-2; Jms. 5:19-20) Evangelism Pure Motivation (Ps. 145:1-7; Mt. 9:36-38; 2 Cor. 5:11-15; 1 Thess. 2:4) Ambassador Lifestyle (2 Cor. 5:18-21; Col. 4:5-6; 1 Pet. 3:14-16) Worldwide Mindset (Mt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; 17:24-28) Our desire is to see this vision worked out among people in all “ages and stages” of life. Therefore, the elements of this vision provide a framework through which all the day-to-day decisions regarding the ministry of River City Grace can be made. From here, we can evaluate whether a curriculum, ministry, or activity advances or detracts from our God-given purpose, objectives, and priorities. The specific details of each ministry venture will be developed through the Spirit-led passions of God’s people as we obediently walk the life of faith, abiding in Him (John 15:5). This vision reflects our understanding of the heart of God for His church as revealed in His Word. Because we are committed to pursuing a Biblical vision of ministry. We teach that the Church shall be under the leadership and direction of the Pastor-Elders (Acts 20:28; Hebrews 13:17), in keeping with the church’s Statement of Faith that is God’s doctrines of truth.. That the gospel is the good news about what God, in His great love, has done through Jesus Christ. Here is the basic message of the gospel. 1. The one and only God is the Creator of all things, has authority over all things, and is worthy of our worship and obedience (1 Chronicles 29:11; Nehemiah 9:6; Revelation 4:11). God is gracious, compassionate, and perfect in moral purity and justice (Exodus 34:6-7; Psalm 103:8; Deuteronomy 32:4). 2. God has made us in his image to know, enjoy, and obey Him (Genesis 1:26-28; Psalm 16:11). Instead we have all rebelled against Him and failed to obey His will (Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1-3). We are sinners and are objects of God’s righteous wrath, judgment, and condemnation (Psalm 14:1; Matthew 10:28; Ephesians 2:11-12; Titus 3:3). 3. In his great love, God sent his Son Jesus Christ to rescue his people from the judgment they deserve because of their sin (Romans 5:6-8; Hebrews 9:27-28). Jesus perfectly obeyed God’s commandments, He died on the cross to pay the penalty for the sins of His people, and He rose from the dead and is the Savior of all who put their trust in Him (Luke 24:46-47; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 3:18). 4. All who turn away from a life of disobedience and unbelief and put their trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior will receive the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life (John 3:16; Acts 16:31; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9). This salvation is a gift of grace which we could never earn or deserve (Ephesians 2:8-9). For those who have come to faith in Jesus Christ, God gives His Holy Spirit to renew and transform their lives on earth and they will live forever with Him in heaven where evil and judgment are replaced with joy and gladness (2 Corinthians 3:18; Philippians 3:20-21; Revelation 21:1-4; Revelation 22:3-5). The Bible summarizes the gospel in these words: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. We will teach this, that the Bible – The Holy Scriptures are pure truth. We believe and teach that the Bible is the Word of God, the sixty-six Books of the Old and New Testaments, verbally inspired in all parts (plenary), therefore, wholly without error (inerrant), as originally given of God (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21). The One True God We believe and teach that God exists eternally as three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22; 2 Corinthians 13:14). He is the infinite, eternal, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent Spirit (John 4:24), perfect in all His attributes, one in essence and nature, worthy of all worship, trust, and obedience. The Holy Spirit We believe and teach in the personality of the Holy Spirit (John 16:7-15), His deity (Acts 5:3-4), and His work in each believer: baptizing and indwelling at the moment of regeneration (1 Corinthians 12:13; Romans 8:9), and filling (Ephesians 5:18) to empower for Christian life and service (Ephesians 3:16; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22-23). The Lord Jesus Christ We believe and teach in the preexistence and deity of Jesus Christ (John 1:13), His incarnation by virgin birth (John 1:1-14; Matthew 1:18-23), His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15), His substitutionary death (2 Corinthians 5:21), His bodily resurrection (Luke 24:36-43), His ascension into heaven and present ministry (Hebrews 4:14-16), and His coming again (Acts 1:11). Man We believe and teach that man is the direct creation of God, being made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-28), that he subsequently fell into sin resulting in spiritual death (Genesis 3:1-24; Romans 5:12), and that the new birth is necessary for his salvation (John 3:35). Salvation We believe and teach that salvation is by God’s grace alone, received as the gift of God through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-7; 1 Peter 1:18-19). The Church We believe and teach that there is one true church, the body and the bride of Christ (Ephesians 1:22-23, 5:25-32), composed of all true believers of the present age (1 Corinthians 12:12-13); and the organization of its members in local churches for worship, for edification of believers, and for worldwide gospel witness, each local church being autonomous but cooperating in fellowship and work (Ephesians 4:11-16). The Christian Life We believe and teach that true believers must exhibit a life of unceasing righteousness, good works and separation unto God from the evil ways of the world (Romans 12:12), manifested by speaking the truth (James 5:12), maintaining the sanctity of the home (Ephesians 5:22-6:4), settling differences between Christians in accordance with the Word of God (1 Corinthians 6:18), not engaging in carnal strife but showing a Christ Like attitude toward all men (Romans 12:17-21), exhibiting the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), and maintaining a life of prayer (Ephesians 6:18; Philippians 4:6), including the privilege, when sick, of calling for the Elders of the church to pray and to anoint with oil in the name of the Lord (James 5:13-18). Angels and Satan We believe and teach in the existence of angels, both holy (spirit beings who worship and serve God – Hebrews 1:6-7, 2:6-7), and fallen (spirit beings who oppose God – Revelation 12:1-14). We believe and teach that Satan is the chief of the fallen angels, and as the great adversary of God and His people (Revelation 12:1-10), is under God’s judgment (John 12:31), and will finally be doomed (Revelation 20:10). Second Coming of Christ We believe and teach in the personal, visible, and imminent return of Christ to remove His church from the earth (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17), before the tribulation (1 Thessalonians 1:10; Revelation 3:10), and afterward to descend with the Church to establish His millennial kingdom upon the earth (Revelation 19:11-20:6). The Future Life We believe and teach in the conscious existence of the dead (Philippians 1:21-23p; Luke 16:19-31), the resurrection of the body (John 5:28-29), the judgment and reward of believers (Romans 14:10-12; 2 Corinthians 5:10), the judgment and condemnation of unbelievers (Revelation 20:11-15), the eternal life of the saved (John 3:16), and the eternal punishment of the lost (Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:15). Call to the Elder? Foot Washing what is it???? Who will, wash one another's feet can we just read this, first, Mark 14:12-16, 22-25; John 13:2, 4-17; 1 Corinthians 11:27-30 Answer, From the Elder. Rev> Simon Kidd. Thank you for this request. John 13:2–17 recounts Jesus' performance of this action. In verses 13:14–17, Christ instructs His disciples: If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. All Christians are required to walk in the light of the Word of God. To walk in the light means to observe every ordinance by putting them into practice. The Feet Washing service is a sacred time for all who participate in the fellowship of this ordinance. Washing the saints’ feet has been instituted to commemorate the heart of a true servant in the life of believers. The Lord’s Supper symbolizes the death of Christ for our sins: His death as being the means of our righteousness, the union between Christ and us, and our expectant hope in Christ until He comes. The emblems used represent the Body and Blood of Christ. The bread suggests the staff of life, the basis of life itself. The breaking of bread shows the breaking of Christ’s Body in redemptive sacrifice. The fruit of the vine represents the Blood of Christ. Together they symbolize the sacrifice of the very life of Christ. As a memorial to Christ’s death, the Lord’s Supper is a renewal of obedience to Christ’s will—an acknowledgement that our salvation is solely through the broken Body and shed Blood of Christ. The ordinance of Foot Washing is as important as any other ordinance. It is a specific command of Jesus which we must obey, and a child of God will look upon this observance as a privilege. Jesus said, “If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you” (John 13:14-15). Some won't do it, they are better than you are, but those who know they are just human, will want to follow whatever God tells them to, They will say Yes Lord show me the way. Here is what happened that last night, During the final Passover of His human life, Jesus Christ introduced three new symbols to an ancient and incredibly important evening. Those three symbols were unleavened bread, wine and foot washing. This we will do, The bread and the Wine, the Washing of feet, sing a song and go home. We look at it this way, “Something ordained or decreed by God, ” is one definition of an ordinance. Many accept the Lord’s Supper as being ordained by God, while relegating Foot Washing to insignificance, even though both were set forth by Jesus as ordinances to be observed by His followers. God had instructed the Jews to keep the Passover feast once a year. Jesus was keeping the Passover feast with His disciples, and during the meal, He instructed His disciples to observe another supper—the Lord’s Supper. Though there is no saving grace in the ordinance itself, it depicts the total work of Christ on man's behalf. We read it this way: The Children of Israel were to take a lamb from the flock on the tenth day of the month and keep it separate until the fourteenth day when they were to kill it in the evening and eat it roasted with fire. They were to place the blood over their doors. What did this point to? Response: This pointed to the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, who would take away our sins. Ask your students what benefit staying “under the blood” brought at the time of the establishing of the Passover. Liken that to the necessity for Christians today to keep the Blood of Christ over their lives. What does our observance of the Lord’s Supper point to? Response: It points back to the death of Jesus on the Cross. It also points forward to the time when the believers will drink the fruit of the vine new with Christ in His Father’s Kingdom (Matthew 26:29). Discuss with your students what a memorial is: something that serves to help people remember some person or event. Perhaps your students can cite some examples of memorials to famous people or events. Help them see that this service is a memorial to Christ and His death, a Personage and event worthy of far greater acclaim and honor than any earthly figure or event. What do we partake of at the Lord’s Supper? What is represented by the bread? by the grape juice? Response: It points back to the death of Jesus on the Cross. It also points forward to the time when the believers will drink the fruit of the vine new with Christ in His Father’s Kingdom (Matthew 26:29). Discuss with your students what a memorial is: something that serves to help people remember some person or event. Perhaps your students can cite some examples of memorials to famous people or events. Help them see that this service is a memorial to Christ and His death, a Personage and event worthy of far greater acclaim and honor than any earthly figure or event. The disciples and Jesus were present at the first Lord’s Supper. These men were His most trusted followers, those closest to Him. Explain who is to partake of the Lord’s Supper today by defining what is meant by the word unworthily in 1 Corinthians 11:27. Explain what it means in the next verse when it says, “let a man examine himself.” Response: Those who partake must be born-again believers. They must be sure the Blood has been applied to their heart before partaking of the sacred emblems—otherwise they do so unworthily. Those who partake receive the symbolic emblems as a continual commemoration of the time when God’s mercy drew them into grace and imparted Christ’s righteousness to them. If this has not taken place, they commemorate the event unworthily. It means to search one’s heart. Ask your students why it is necessary for the Christian to examine himself. How do we do this? Bring out that we do this by reading the Bible and prayer, to see if anything has entered into the heart that shouldn’t be there. Explain what it means to discern the Lord’s body. Response: Ask your students why we should strive with all spiritual and physical capabilities to understand the full meaning of the offering made for us on Calvary. When one partakes of the emblems by faith, that is, “discerning the Lord’s body, ” it brings one into contact with Him. If one is diseased or sick, he has the right to believe that Christ’s Blood will make him every whit whole. How did Jesus’ washing the disciples’ feet differ from the foot-washing customs of the day? Response: The original institution of the ordinance was not, as some have said, merely one of the customs or practices of Christ’s time, when the feet of the guests were washed upon their arrival before the meal and not after its completion. This ordinance is not for sinners, but for those who are saved. It is very necessary for the saints to observe this (John 13:8). Why did Peter change his mind after first telling Jesus, “Thou shalt never wash my feet? ” Response: See John 13:8 for the words that caused Peter to change his mind. Ask your students if they feel the Lord would place the same importance on taking part in Foot Washing today if we want to have a part with Him. They should conclude that we have no reason to think the Lord would deem it any less necessary in our day. 1 Timothy 5:10 lists several good works which Paul said were commendable. What are they? Response: The works are: brought up children, lodged strangers, washed the saints’ feet, and relieved the afflicted. These works were commendable in Paul’s day. Ask your students if the same works are commendable today. It might be interesting to point out that this verse in 1 Timothy is the only reference, besides John 13, that shows the observance of the washing of the saints’ feet. In 1 Corinthians 11:20-31 we read that divisions had arisen as to the observance of the Lord’s Supper. However, apparently no confusion had come up regarding Foot Washing, as no further directive was given to the Church concerning its observance. Read Matthew 28:19-20. How does this Scripture relate to Foot Washing? Response: The students should understand that the disciples were commanded to teach others to observe all things whatsoever Jesus had commanded. How then can the ordinance of Foot Washing be excluded? Over 1, 400 years earlier, God had instituted the Passover observance to be a yearly reminder of when He had shattered the yoke of Israel’s Egyptian masters and began leading the Israelites out of slavery and into a land of their own. Now, nearly a millennium and a half later, the Son of God was showing His disciples that the Passover was over and Jesus was about something more than just a last meal, and keeping the Passover. The required sacrifice at the Passover was a lamb “without blemish, a male of the first year” (Exodus 12:5). Through the symbols of bread and wine—both of which were an existing part of the Passover meal—Jesus revealed that He was the ultimate Passover lamb. So in this alone we can see that Jesus did eat Meat, and He did drink Wine. This time of the year there was no grapes in the field so it could not have been Grape Juice, He was about to become the perfect sacrifice, offering up His body and His blood to pay the penalty for sin and free God’s people from its clutches (Matthew 26:26-28; John 8:34-36; 1 Corinthians 5:7). Foot washing as a symbol to remember Him and to obey Him, it will show in any church people who believe Jesus, at the washing of Feet. We should stop and read this, This, do in remembrance of me, ” Jesus here says, “For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.” The Greek word translated “example” is hupodeigma. Other New Testament uses of this word refer not to a command to be precisely obeyed but to a representation, figure, or pattern–such as a spiritual pattern to be represented physically, or an object lesson of either good or bad behavior (see Hebrews 4:11; 8:5; 9:23 ; James 5:10; and 2 Peter 2:6). But the third symbol was a little different— a reminder of the ransom Jesus paid, but of the attitude behind the payment and if someone loves what He has told them.. Jesus “rose from the very last Passover supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded” (John 13:4-5). No One can take this from the scripture. Foot washing was the act of a servant. Yes but they were already in the house and had already eaten the meal and no one would have eaten with dirt on their feet. In fact, in some ways, it was even beneath a servant. Many of the Old Testament examples of foot washing show people washing their own feet (Genesis 18:4; 24:32; 43:24). A time of great joy and fellowship is always present when the ordinance of foot washing is heartily practiced in the proper spirit – the spirit of a servant. Many religious organizations have ceased observing the ordinance of foot washing. It seems that many people have falsely associated foot washing with the act of hospitality that existed in Eastern countries. It is commonly practiced that when a guest arrives at someone’s home, a servant places a basin of water for the traveler to wash his feet. Sometimes the master of the house would have one of his servants wash the feet of the guest. This is possibly where the ordinance finds its model; however, its purpose far exceeds this simple show of hospitality. We can’t overlook this in the scripture, In Galatians 6:2, Paul tells us, “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” I think this is the type of service Jesus had in mind for us when He set us an example by washing His disciples’ feet. Here are a few more Scriptures that tell us how to “wash each other’s feet”: “and to exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin” (Hebrews 3:13); “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. Jesus gave Himself so we can be Healed, Give that New Beginning, so seek it out saying Yes Lord I hear and I obey. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16); “Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently” (1 Peter 1:22); “Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren” (1 John 3:16); “And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors. But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve” (Luke 22:25-26). Peter, who had already come to acknowledge Jesus as “the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Matthew 16:16), was intensely uncomfortable with what Jesus was doing. The other disciples probably felt the same. Peter tried to refuse, but Jesus answered, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me” (John 13:8). So today we ask ourselves the same thing: do we want to be a part of this Jesus?? This was important. This is important. To get into our thinking. "These ordinances are established for a purpose. Christ’s followers are to bear in mind the example of Christ in his humility. This ordinance is to encourage humility, but it should never be termed humiliating, in the sense of being degrading to humanity. It is to tender our hearts toward one another." After washing all 12 pairs of feet, Jesus asked His disciples, “Do you know what I have done to you? This was not when they came to the house and had someone wash the road dust off of them, You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you” (verses 12-15, so will You??? Christ expected continual foot washing In English, when you tell people to wash something, you probably expect them to wash it once and be done. But when John wrote his Gospel account, he used a Greek tense that implies repeated action. Jesus wasn’t telling the disciples to wash each other’s feet once, but repeatedly. There are two big lessons here as well : 1. Foot washing is an annual reminder. Jesus expected the disciples to continue observing the yearly Passover. He intended these new symbols—the bread, the wine and the foot washing—to remind His disciples of the spiritual significance of the Passover ceremony year after year. He was about to become the Passover Lamb, and He left His disciples instructions to eat the bread and drink the wine in remembrance of Him (1 Corinthians 11:24-25) and to “wash one another’s feet.” Today, some 2, 000 years later, baptized Christians around the world still come together once a year to do exactly that—to commemorate the death of Jesus Christ by eating the bread that symbolizes His body, drinking the wine that symbolizes His blood, and washing each other’s feet as a symbol of Christ’s attitude of humble service. 2. Foot washing represents an ongoing attitude of humility. Even though the actual foot washing happens only once a year, the foot-washing mindset—a mindset of humility and service—ought to be a continual, year-round habit. Jesus, the One who taught us to make foot washing an annual practice, also gave us an example of a life lived in service to others. His instruction—“For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you” (John 13:15)—is about more than an annual ceremony. It’s about a way of life. Foot washing was the act of a servant. In fact, in some ways, it was even beneath a servant. Paul urged the Philippians to “complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others” (Philippians 2:2-4, English Standard Version). When we look at others as being more significant than ourselves—when we actively look for ways to serve their interests instead of only our own—we begin to develop the mindset of humility and service “which was also in Christ Jesus” (verse 5). Jesus also told His disciples, “Whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave—just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:26-28). As the Son of God, Jesus had every right to come to earth demanding—and deserving—the service of others. But that’s not what He did. He served. And He told us to serve too. In the eyes of God, greatness is service. More than a once-a-year act, the foot-washing mindset ought to prompt us to look for opportunities to serve our brothers and sisters in Christ. And like foot washing, that service should be a repeated, habitual action—not a one-time event. To learn ways we can serve, read “Serving God: Eyes, Ears and Mouth” and “Serving God: Hands and Feet.” Tips for maintaining a foot-washing mindset The foot-washing mindset doesn’t come naturally to most of us. Serving others takes humility and effort. Our human nature naturally leads us to put our needs first, before the needs of others. That’s why being mindful of the needs of others takes effort. Here are some steps we can each take to build and maintain the foot-washing mindset Jesus wants from His disciples: 1. Treat each other as connected Paul explained to the Corinthian believers that “there are many members, yet one body” (1 Corinthians 12:20). When we become part of God’s Church, we join a spiritual body in which every Christian is connected. It’s a two-way street: what affects our neighbors affects us; what affects us affects our neighbors. As Paul put it, “If one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it” (verse 26). When we serve others, we help the whole body—and that includes ourselves. A single act of service can overflow into the lives of countless others as we continue to “grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love” (Ephesians 4:15-16, ESV). The foot-washing mindset should lead us to serve others simply because we want to do good—but it helps to remember that the good we’re doing benefits the entire Body of Christ. 2. Plant now what you’d like to harvest later Serving others is a lot like planting a seed. Sometimes, we can find ourselves serving and wondering if we’re really accomplishing anything useful. A farmer, likewise, “waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain” (James 5:7). The foot-washing mindset should lead us to serve others now, knowing that we are planting seeds of kindness, compassion and generosity that will yield a harvest in the future. In both cases, the harvest is coming—and “he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully” (2 Corinthians 9:6). We might not see the results of our service for months, years or even decades—but that doesn’t mean the seeds aren’t worth planting: “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap... And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith” (Galatians 6:7, 9-10). The foot-washing mindset should lead us to serve others now, knowing that we are planting seeds of kindness, compassion and generosity that will yield a harvest in the future—in our lives and in the lives of others. 3. Following Jesus is more than an intellectual pursuit An important part of being a Christian is studying the Bible—the Word of God. But an even more important part is doing the Word of God. James reminded the Church that we must “be doers of the word, and not hearers only” (James 1:22). We can’t be Christians if our studying never translates into action. Jesus gave a chilling warning about the judgment He would pass on Christians who failed to serve: “Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me” (Matthew 25:41-43). He clarified that when we fail to serve “the least of these My brethren” (verse 40, compare verse 45), we fail to serve Him. The foot-washing mindset keeps us focused on the fact that when we serve our brothers and sisters in the Church, we’re actually serving Jesus Christ—and when we neglect them, we’re actually neglecting Jesus Christ. “You also ought to wash one another’s feet” The command to wash each other’s feet carries huge implications for all Christians. The fact that we are to continue washing each other’s feet ties into the fact that God expects all baptized Christians to be attending the annual Passover service, sharing the important symbols of the blood and body of Jesus Christ. But it also ties into the fact that we must be developing a foot-washing mindset—a continual focus on serving others the way Jesus served us, giving of our time and energy to help when and where we can. The more we learn to do this, the better we will fulfill our Teacher’s instruction: “Do as I have done to you.” saved people want to obey God. Dear Brothers and Sisters, take time to pray for each one who comes to the Lord, Why not read this as you get ready for the Communion and Foot washing, Look in In the Mark account of another occasion, Mary, the sister of Lazarus, even poured the perfume on Jesus’ head (Mark 14:3). How can we anoint the minds of our brethren, as suggested by the head? Perhaps by praying for our brethren’s strength, that they might endure all for CHRIST. “Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” (2 Timothy 3:12) “For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps…” (1 Peter 2:21) As the washing of another’s feet is not a glamorous work, and considering the imperfections that each of us have, it takes a large measure of love, phileo and AGAPE love, and humility, to press forward in striving to serve our brethren. Let us not allow differences along one line or another, nor misunderstandings, hinder us from seeking to do good unto all that we have opportunity, especially the household of faith. (Galatians 6:10, 1 Peter 3:11, Psalm 34:14, Micah 6:8) So what can each one of us do? We can be the person who God look down on this earth and see us Desiring and maintaining loving fellowship with the members of Christ’s body as did Jesus spend in that upper room SERVING his disciples; Praying for each other, as our Lord Jesus taught in his prayer in John 17. Encouraging each other to fight the good fight of faith and become transformed in newness of life by renewing the mind when we dwell on things that are above. For example, “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” (Ephesians 5:19). Within the ecclesia and among those with whom we have frequent fellowship, if we are actively engaged in promoting one another’s spiritual growth and development, we should be able to appreciate that all of our brethren have certain qualities, graces, or attributes that can benefit us; and we, likewise, should be on the alert as to how we can be of help to them. Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” The Message we Read from the Bible reads, “God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.” The key to this scripture is His mighty power that works within you. This is about being submitted to His power, leaning not on your own understanding but trusting that He will act on your behalf, blessing you beyond your dreams and desires. He has for the saved, all through all that will yet be manifest through time and eternity. So How did the story of a man who taught and practiced unconditional love, peace, and kindness; who spent his life defending the poor and the marginalized; a man who even forgave his killers while they executed him unjustly — whose life inspired a radical movement that is still impacting the world thousands of years later — how did this man’s story become associated with hatred and oppression for so many people? And how might we all rediscover the promise of the love his story represents? Those are the questions at the heart of He Gets Us. OFTEN WE DISQUALIFY OURSELVES FROM GOD’S LOVE BECAUSE OF OUR HISTORY, OUR FAILURES AND SHORTCOMINGS. SIN HAS SEPARATED US FROM GOD AND WE CAN NEVER MAKE UP FOR OUR SIN BY SELF-IMPROVEMENT OR GOOD WORKS. SO HOW CAN WE ACCEPT WHAT WE HAVEN’T EARNED? THE BIBLE SAYS THAT NOTHING IN ALL OF CREATION CAN SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD. AND TO ACCEPT GOD’S LOVE IS TO TRUST HIS PATIENT, FORGIVING AND GRACIOUS STANCE TOWARD US. ONLY HE HAS THE POWER TO FREE US FROM GUILT, SHAME AND CONDEMNATION TO GIVE US A LIFE OF WHOLENESS. ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS TURN TO HIM. It’s about Jesus, so it’s certainly affiliated with Christianity, but our point is that the story of Jesus doesn’t belong to anyone. It has something to offer to everyone — inviting Christians, non-Christians, and those who aren’t sure what they believe to consider Jesus. The example of his life can inspire all of us to pursue unconditional love for ourselves and for others, and that can encourage us to learn more about Jesus and his mission. In a world filled with distractions, worries, and doubts, Colossians 3:2 advises, “Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” This verse highlights the need to prioritize your spiritual perspective and keep your eyes on Jesus, the ultimate source of hope and guidance. What was it that attracted God to Mary? “The angel went to her and said, ‘Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you’.” (Luke 1:28) That’s the type of favor I want to tell you about. Though we’re all subject to the blessings of God, some are more blessed than others. I believe that favor has something to do with that. What was it that attracted God to Mary? “The angel went to her and said, ‘Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you’.” (Luke 1:28) That’s the type of favor I want to tell you about. Throughout the Bible the word ‘favor’ is used in various ways. It can mean grace and acceptance but I want to examine it from the dictionary definition: approval, support, goodwill, above and beyond, kindness, preference. All of this is available to the believer as we can see from the lives of many Bible characters. As you read further, you will find examples of people who had the favor of God in their lives and you will discover how to attract God’s favor in your life. However, it’s important to note that when I refer to favor, I don’t mean favoritism. We know that God does not show partiality, but He does show favor. Favor is not Love. God loves everyone the same. It’s not grace, we are saved through grace by faith. It’s also not about blessing although God’s favor leads to blessing. Favor is something more and it will change your life. When you choose to focus on Christ, you remain anchored in His peace and sovereignty, as stated in Isaiah 26:3: “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind stays on you because he trusts in you.” Keeping your eyes on Jesus leads to a profound sense of inner peace and trust, even in the midst of life’s storms. The message in Philippians 4:6-7 is clear: rather than succumbing to anxiety, you are encouraged to turn to God in prayer, presenting your needs and concerns with a heart of gratitude. This act of faith doesn’t just bring you closer to God; it opens the door to a peace that is beyond human comprehension. Matthew 14:31 recounts how Jesus immediately reached out to rescue Peter when he cried out for help. Likewise, if you falter in your faith or lose focus, you can trust that Jesus is ever-ready to extend His loving hand and lift you up. Trust in God’s Sovereignty: Remember that God is in control, even when situations seem chaotic. Trusting in His sovereignty can bring peace amidst uncertainty. TO BE MADE WHOLE, OR TO BE SAVED IS TO SUBMIT TO GOD AND HIS PLAN AND PURPOSE FOR OUR LIVES. IT’S A TURNING FROM OUR OLD WAYS AND TURNING TO JESUS, TO ASK HIM FOR FORGIVENESS FROM OUR SINS AND TO GIVE US NEW LIFE IN HIM. ROMANS 10:9 SAYS, “IF YOU DECLARE WITH YOUR MOUTH, “JESUS IS LORD, ” AND BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, YOU WILL BE SAVED.” SALVATION IS GOD’S FREE GIFT TO US AND WE BECOME HIS CHILDREN. IT’S TOTAL ACCEPTANCE INTO THE FAMILY OF GOD AND AN EMPOWERMENT, THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT, TO LIVE A FULFILLED LIFE THAT REFLECTS GOD’S GOODNESS. IF YOU’RE NOT SURE WHETHER YOU’RE RIGHT WITH GOD, YOU CAN CHOOSE TO FOLLOW HIM RIGHT NOW BY PRAYING A PRAYER OF SURRENDER TO JESUS: It not about men it is what God has sent to this world John 3:15-17 is for anyone. 1. Love God Love God with all your heart. Without loving Him, we cannot expect to gain His favor. “My son, do not forget My teaching, but keep My commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity. Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.” (Proverbs 3:1-4) 2. Love people What are you doing for the Kingdom? What are you doing for others? If you want God’s favor then start caring for people. Ruth found favor with Boaz because of the things she had done and James says ‘faith without works is dead’. “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me’.” (Matthew 25:34-40) “Boaz replied, ‘I’ve been told all about what you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband—how you left your father and mother and your homeland and came to live with a people you did not know before. May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge’.” (Ruth 2:11-12) Ruth was noticed for what she had done, she received more than she asked for, special treatment, protection, more than enough! 3. Hate what God hates As you make a stand for God and His causes His favor is released upon you “But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.” (Revelation 2:6) 4. Give gifts and offerings Abel’s offering found favor with God but Cain’s did not. Make sure your offering finds favor with God. Giving gifts leads us to find favor with both God and man as we see from the example of Jacob who found favor with Esau following his substantial gift. “And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.” (Genesis 4:4) “I have cattle and donkeys, sheep and goats, male and female servants. Now I am sending this message to my lord, that I may find favor in your eyes.” (Genesis 32:5) 5. Be faithful Noah found favor with God due to his faithfulness. He walked faithfully with God and that led to favor. “So the Lord said, ‘I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.’ But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.” (Genesis 6:7-9) 6. Be righteous/blameless As we can also see in the example of Noah, being righteous and blameless is a key to finding favor. We also find this call to righteousness in the New Testament. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33) “Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.” (Psalm 5:12) You can be blessed with favor. Favor leads to blessing. 7. Be submitted Esther shows us how submission brings favor. She didn’t take matters into her own hands. This is an ingredient to receiving favor. She exemplified submission, humility and confidence in God and won the favor of everyone who saw her. “When the turn came for Esther to go to the king, she asked for nothing other than what Hegai, the king’s eunuch who was in charge of the harem, suggested.” (Esther 2:15) 8. Be humble/have humility Through her humility Esther received immediate care and attention, provision, the best place, helpers, assistants and attendants. Furthermore, her favor created favor for all around her. Through our humility, let’s create an atmosphere of favor in our lives that can overflow to others. “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” (1 Peter 5:5) 9. Be honest Honesty is a key to favor. Joseph found favor with Potiphar because he could be trusted. “The Lord detests dishonest scales, but accurate weights find favor with Him.” (Proverbs 11:1) “Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned.” (Genesis 39) 10. Get Wisdom Wisdom is a key to favor. As Solomon makes clear in the Book of Proverbs. “For those who find me find life and receive favor from the Lord.” (Proverbs 8:35) As you use these 10 keys I believe you will see the favor of God in your life. And, remember, Favor comes in stages. You have to grow in it. You do not necessarily receive maximum favor all at once. “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” (Luke 2:52) If Jesus had to grow in favor then so do we! God’s favor is lasting. “For His anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime.” (Psalm 30:5) Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Once you have God’s favor it lasts a lifetime. Do you want a lifetime of favor? Use these 10 keys to unlock God’s increased provision in your life and let it overflow to others. Noah found favor, he was blameless, righteous and faithful. Joseph found favor with God, as did Esther. God’s favor is for a purpose. When He favors you, it’s not for you to sit upon, but to do something with. You receive blessings so you can be a blessing! Let Go and Let God: Release your anxieties to God. Acknowledge that some things are beyond your control and that God’s hands are capable of handling them. Meditate on God’s Promises: Spend time reflecting on the promises of God in Scripture. His Word can provide comfort and assurance in anxious times. Seek Community Support: Share your burdens with trusted friends or a faith community. Sometimes, just talking about your worries can alleviate their weight. Philippians 4:6-7 doesn’t promise a life free from trouble, but it does assure you of God’s enduring peace in the midst of your trials. The peace of God is not just a temporary reprieve but a profound state of heart and mind, anchored in the trust and hope you have in Christ. Keeping your eyes on Jesus is not only a biblical principle but a lifeline in your spiritual journey. Heed the lessons from Matthew 14:22-33 and the additional scriptures that emphasize this vital practice. In doing so, you will find strength, peace, and unwavering faith even in the midst of life’s tempests. We go preach Him, the Savior, this Jesus, the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God; that He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, that He might redeem sinful man. He accomplished this redemption by voluntarily giving Himself as a sinless substitutionary sacrifice on the cross, thereby satisfying God’s righteous judgment against sin. He gave proof that He accomplished that redemption by His bodily resurrection from the grave. He then ascended to the right hand of His Father where He intercedes on behalf of those who trust Him (John 1:1, 2, 14, 18; Luke 1:34, 35; Rom. 3:24-26; 8:34)***Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31; Luke 1:35; Hebrews 7:26; 1 Peter 2:22; Acts 2:22; Acts 10:38; Matthew 28:6; Luke 24:39; 1 Corinthians 15:4; Acts 1:9; We are to follower after what He has told us, such as Psalm 100:4 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and his name. Mathew 5:44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you 1 Peter 4:8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Luke 10:27 He answered, 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself. Mathew 7:1-3 7 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Isaiah 54:17a No weapon formed against you shall prosper Mathew 18:20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. Mathew 18:19 The Jesus of the Bible did things that many would not do today, because to them it looks bad. We were looking at the life of Jesus to see who he really was, and we noticed something peculiar: he spent a lot of time around the dinner table. Many of his most frequently quoted messages and standout stories happened while sharing a meal with others. As we looked closer, we noticed that his company around the table was a remarkably diverse cast. He shared meals with outcasts. He spent time with the self-righteous religious elite. He cared for people who had broken every rule and were seen as unclean. He dined at the tables of the wealthy men whose riches were won with lies and corruption. Some of those men gave up comfortable lifestyles to follow him. He crossed racial boundaries to the shock of many around him. He invited everyone to the table. When asked why he did so, he replied, “… I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of the truth listens to me.” It was radical at the time. No one was that inclusive. The religious do-gooders began to whisper behind his back. They called him a friend of sinners. It was supposed to be an insult, but Jesus wore it proudly. He was a friend to everyone. And what do friends do? They eat dinner together and share in each other’s lives. Strangers eating together and becoming friends. What a simple concept, and yet, we’re pretty sure it would turn our own modern world upside down the same way Jesus turned his around 2, 000 years ago. That’s really why we made this video in the first place. We see division and broken relationships everywhere. We see judgment and hypocrisy on the rise. We see people who claim to be followers of Jesus taking his open invite and turning it into an exclusive club. The name of Jesus has been used to harm and divide, but if you look at how he lived, you see how backward that really is. Jesus was not exclusive. He was radically inclusive. What would our world look like if that were the norm? If strangers became friends over the dinner table as they did around Jesus? Scripture References so you can see it for yourselves: Mark 2:13-17, Luke 19:1-10, Matthew 9:36-38, Luke 5:31-32 In the gospel of Matthew, we find a powerful lesson about the importance of keeping your eyes on Jesus, especially amidst life’s storms. This foundational scripture recounts the moment when Peter walked on water towards Jesus, only to falter when he shifted his focus. You will find insights offered by this passage and the additional scriptures that support the vital practice of fixing your gaze on Christ. What Does the Bible Say? “He walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, ‘Lord, save me! '” Matthew 14:29-30 Hebrews 12:2 reinforces this idea: “looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” Just as Peter found strength and miraculous ability in his initial gaze upon Jesus, you are encouraged to fix your eyes on Christ, the author and finisher of your faith. Jeffersonville Topix/Craigslist replacement » Can people have church anywhere?
Truly saved people do not need mens, approvable God has them forgiven and that is good enough for them. John 3:15-17 is for any person and they do not have to even go to church to receive this Gift from a Holy God. From Rev. Elder, state Pastor, Simon Kidd of Kidd Family Ministry, 463 east High st. Owingsville Ky 859-274-2617 Having Church anywhere, even at Home? To have church anywhere as Matthew 18:20 says we can, takes the devil out of the gathering; it's not some man made dog and pointy show. False clergy can’t top what the bible calls church, The Universal Church derives its definition from the baptizing ministry of the Holy Spirit. The key verse on this is 1 Cor. 12:13, "by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body." We see from this passage that the church is like the physical manifestation of Christ, i.e., his body. Other passages which use the same imagery are Rom. 12:4-5; 1 Cor. 12:11, 18, 27. The point in all of these passages seems to be that anyone who has experienced this baptism is automatically a member of the body of Christ. In the Bible the word “church” does not mean a building. There is nothing the slightest bit holy about a building. Christians are the church, the assembly. Jesus said wherever two or more are gathered in His name, or His authority, He will be there also, Matthew 18:20. Sometimes to get back to God and what He has for you one needs to just stay home on sunday, and read the bible for one’s self, it would be more honorable, to stand that way before God than it would be to have what slick calls church. The one thing that slick will not stand for is what the bible calls church, such as you having a complete understanding of what church is in the scripture, The word translated "church" in the English Bible is ekklesia. This word is the Greek word kaleo (to call), with the prefix ek (out). Thus, the word means "the called out ones." However, the English word "church" does not come from ekklesia but from the word kuriakon, which means "dedicated to the Lord." This word was commonly used to refer to a holy place or temple. By the time of Jerome's translation of the New Testament from Greek to Latin, it was customary to use a derivative of kuriakon to translate ekklesia. Therefore, the word church is a poor translation of the word ekklesia since it implies a sacred building, or temple. A more accurate translation would be "assembly" because the term ekklesia was used to refer to a group of people who had been called out to a meeting. It was also used as a synonym for the word synagogue, which also means to "come together, " i.e. a gathering. "Body of Christ" Since believers have been united with Christ through spiritual baptism, they are sometimes corporately referred to as the body of Christ. (Rom. 12:4-5; 1 Cor. 12:11, 13, 18, 27; Col. 1:18; Eph. 5:30) The idea seems to be that the group of Christians in the world constitute the physical representation of Christ on earth. It is also a metaphor which demonstrates the interdependence of members in the church, while at the same time demonstrating their diversity from one another. (Rom. 12:4; 1 Cor. 12:14-17) The saved person is called Bride of Christ or Christ's Betrothed no where in this is a saved person told to follow after a slick pastor. (Eph. 5:25-32; 2 Cor. 11:2). These titles refer to the love and loyalty existing between Christ and believers. The question is who has the power to place God’s name on a loan at the bank? Let the person who did pay it back. The Bible tells us what Tithing Was under that old Covenant. Malachi 3:8-10, 2 Corinthians 9:6-8, Proverbs 3:9, Luke 6:38, Mark 12:41-44, Leviticus 27:30, Genesis 14:17-20, Deuteronomy 14:22-29, Matthew 23:23 and that it was only food for the Priesthood, and was not money. God placed a stop on His saved people Tithing under the All Christian, and all New Covenant, A false teacher will remind us How Many of us live by the world’s perspective on finances instead of God’s. This can be true but they say it to deceive us from what God tells us in the ScripturesWhen we apply an eternal perspective to our income and possessions, under the New Covenant of our day, God tells us this 1 Timothy 5:5-8, then we can truly be free from the pull of culture and materialism, and false clergy .Luke 12:13-21 and Romans 12:1-2 Jesus had spent most of Luke 11 teaching his disciples and the crowds and confronting the Pharisees on various teachings. This passage in Luke 12:13-21 records Jesus responding to someone in the crowd who was seeking advice from Him as a rabbi with authority. Jesus uses this event to teach this individual as well as His disciples about greed and possessions. In Romans 12:1-2 the Apostle Paul challenges us to present everything we are to God, to let Him change us so we can live in His plans. Consider these ideas as they relate to our commitment to Christ *** Read this, According to the Bible, God has called each of us to be faithful managers of all He entrusts to us. Don’t be a customer at the hands of the clergy. Many in our society have their lives and options severely limited and disrupted, because they are not following God’s financial principles for their lives. Relationships are enhanced or degraded based on how we handle money. This is particularly true of marriage relationships. The advance of God’s Kingdom is hindered through the misappropriation of His resources. Frequently, biblical financial management is not taught at home, school or church. Our society is reaping the results of this ignorance. Most people have not learned Scriptural truths about money at home, church, or in school. Others have, but have yet to apply them. As a result, many of us live by the world’s perspective on finances instead of God’s. We often do this without even realizing it. The temptation to covet what others have and desire what the world has to offer has a powerful pull on our lives. Tithing under the old covenant was just food for the Priest, ***The New Testament never once tells us to tithe. The only time the word "tithe" is used in the NT is in the context of food. People quote Mat 23:23 - but food is right there in that verse and people just ignore it. In fact every single instance of the word "tithe" in the Bible is related to FOOD. Money is not the tithe. Read this, Num 18:21 ‘I give to the Levites all the tithes as their inheritance in return for the work they do while serving….23 it shall be a statute forever, throughout your generations, that among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance NOTE Today as New Testament believers WE ARE ALL PRIESTS (1 Pet 2:5 and 2:9 and Rev 1:6, 5:10 and 20:6) So our money is to be like He says 1 Timothy 5:5-8. Deut 14:22 "You shall truly tithe all the increase of your grain that the field produces year by year. NKJV (tithes were NOT the first 10% nor were they given weekly. ..they were set aside over the year and only given once) NOTE The tithe always specifically referred to produce of the fields only (NEVER the wages of people) NOTE This is the ONLY place where the people of Israel are commanded in the Law 'how and when' to tithe.... and 'what' is to be done with the tithe. There is NO scripture EVER given that suggests that tithes were required from Israelites that had other occupations other than land-owner farmers eg laborers, skilled craftsmen, weavers, designers, or carpenters (or being Jews – merchants, bankers, and lawyers or doctors) under the LAW. All the highly regarded rabbis of the past and present concur on this matter. In all the years of listening to teachings about tithing I have never been told that GOD commands me to EAT my tithe together with my family...Have you? ...How can this possibly be missed by so many supposedly knowledgeable bible teachers? Note that in verse 24-26 we are told that (if we are too far away from Jerusalem) we can convert our tithe to money but that we are then to buy 'sheep, cattle, wine or strong drink' and 'to eat and rejoice in the presence of the Lord your God'. Yes this is in your bible...God COMMANDS you to eat your tithe in a party to celebrate His blessing on your life and His goodness towards you. These scriptures are where GOD defines 'what must be done' with the tithe...and 'when' it must be done by the Israelites These scripture will blow the storehouse money tithing heresy as taught by most churches today right out of the water...which is why they are NEVER preached! NOTE You the giver are to EAT your tithe in celebration before God to thanks Him for his blessings When we read this God gives us His teachings, 1 Timothy 6:9-11 | 1 John 2:15-17 | Proverbs 21:5 God wants us to be: Diligent at earning a living in order to provide for ourselves and to give to others A joyful generous giver A wise saver Cautious to incur debt Careful with our spending God has called us to provide for ourselves, our families, and our future; however, we sometimes struggle to save money. When you hear this it is true ( No one can out give God) This is true, but where the devil gets in is The Preacher or church group is not God so we should think again, when we hear the words Tithe, or Given this way. Just read this. Proverbs 6:6-8 | 30:24-25 | 10:5 | 13:22 | 13:11 Saving reduces stress and anxiety about our money — it results in flexibility in life and greater freedom to provide for ourselves and our families, both now and in the future. When it comes to saving, the cultural messages we hear today tell us: If you have it, spend it, and if you don’t have it, spend it anyway. • It is impossible to save; I can’t cut back on any of my expenses. What is saving? Saving is setting aside money to use for future needs. Saving is not money we have lost or given up the use of; it is future spending! God calls believers to be wise stewards of money; part of being wise is saving money for future needs. It’s part of God’s good plan for our future! God has called us to provide for ourselves, our families, and our future; however, we sometimes struggle to save money because we don’t know the truth about saving, we don’t know how to save, or we lack the discipline to save. Here are two examples: 1. Unrealistic Expectations - We don’t really expect anything to go wrong, so we don’t think we need to save. 2. Most of us love to spend money! It’s hard for us to deny ourselves. We live in a consumer-driven culture where passion for spending far outweighs a desire to save. As a result, many of us have credit cards we can’t pay off, so we are unable to set aside money for future expenses at all. We all need to read this again, Because we are made in God’s image, we have the desire to give; however, many of us do not experience all God has for us in the adventure of giving. *** —2 Corinthians 8:1-4 and 9:6-7 | 1 Timothy 6:17-18 | Proverbs 3:5-10 Generous, joyful giving is a powerful practice which unleashes many blessings from God and offers us the peace of mind that we are obeying Him. It also provides us the opportunity and privilege of watching God work through us to build His Kingdom. Let’s see what the Bible has to say about giving. God has not told us we need the Preacher to do our giving for us, God calls believers to be wise stewards of money. Giving is a demonstration of our faith in our loving heavenly Father. When we give, we show that we are trusting Him to meet our needs for the future and to further God’s kingdom and work in the world. Because we are made in God’s image, we have the desire to give; however, many of us do not experience all God has for us in the adventure of giving. Perhaps we don’t fully understand what the Bible teaches about giving. Or we may have become so entangled by previous financial choices that giving is very difficult or seemingly impossible for us. When we let the Bible tell us what God says about Money and what we should do with it, this will happen for us. We need to understand biblical truths about money, loving the world, and being a wise steward of our resources. One of the keys to financial faithfulness is having a plan - live today with an eye toward the future. We will keep the devil out of our living, and not over give when slick seeks to take what God has given you and yours. 1 Timothy 6:9-11 | 1 John 2:15-17 | Proverbs 21:5 God wants us to be: Diligent at earning a living in order to provide for ourselves and to give to others A joyful generous giver A wise saver Cautious to incur debt Careful with our spending Financial passivity results in the inability to be good financial stewards. Following the world’s way of managing money can lead to greed, wasting God’s provision, and potentially a heavy load of debt. Many people do not have a spending plan and often find themselves in a cycle of having more days left in a month than they have money for. Without a plan many people become dependent on credit cards rather than on God. If we do not control our money, it will ultimately control us! We teach this, from God’s word, and live as it tells us, Proverbs 27:18 and 23-27 | Philippians 4:15-19 financial stewardship, we will see how to continue tracking expenses and we’ll be encouraged through Scripture to continue regularly using our Spending Plan. Proverbs is a great book of wisdom, and on the topic of financial faithfulness, the writer reveals solid principles of managing wealth and taking care of our possessions. In addition, the apostle Paul in Philippians shares with readers who it is that will meet our needs. We need to carefully plan our financial “house” and clearly know where we stand with our Spending Plan. This is a large part of how we become financially free, which results in peace of mind, both now and in the future. Now is a good time to begin carrying out healthy lifestyle habits in this very important area. God calls us to be wise stewards; however, without careful planning, our income, expenses, debt, savings, and giving can get out of balance. Many people have no idea where they stand with their money. This can lead to undesired surprises in the future with hardship and difficulties to follow. Remember that God has the answers to anything in our Human life, Read out loud together: Proverbs 27:18, 23-27 The Proverbs provide basic advice for wise living in practical daily work; in fact, Solomon wrote them to teach young people how to live wisely. As background, in the time Solomon lived, most people’s income came from farming or raising livestock. From the passage, think how the principles apply to us in our present world. 3. Looking at Proverbs 27:18. What do you observe as the “cause and effect” factors in this verse? In what ways do you think this verse speaks to us today? 4. Now look at 27:23-27. If you were a farmer or cattle rancher, what advice do you find here that would be valuable in providing for a family? List as many pieces of advice as you can as a group. 5. What would happen as a farmer/rancher, if you did not pay attention to or give proper care to your fields, animals and family? 6. What impact does this passage have on your attitudes and behavior? As you consider your current situation, what are practical ways you can apply the truths of this passage? Read aloud together: Philippians 4:15-19 Keep in mind that the Apostle Paul endured incredible hardships as seen in 2 Corinthians 11:23-28. (If you have time, read this out loud.) Paul went through imprisonments, repeated beatings, and was even left for dead after an attempted execution with stones. He almost died at sea, was severely threatened by his enemies, was exposed to the elements, spent sleepless nights, went hungry and thirsty, suffered exposure to cold and great emotional pressure from his concern for all the churches to which he ministered. So Paul is making a big statement in Philippians 4:19. 7. What is the main promise in this verse? Why do you think Paul was able to make this bold statement? Until next time The Elder.

Revival” This world does need it. It is more clear than ever that we have a desperate need for God to move in a mighty way in our world, our nation, our communities, our churches, our families, and in our own hearts. The saved person must understand that it is each one of us, who is in need of revival. From The Elder: Old Church of God of the New Covenant - 1Cor. 1:2- Gal. 1:13- Eph. 2:15-21- Heb. 8:1-13- Jer. 3:15-16- Rom. 10:14-16- Jer. 31:31. Before we can have Revival we must have a cleaning of God house first just like Jesus did in the temple as we read about in Mark 11:15-19-* Matt. 21:12-17 and this is saying that every church board needs to take a look at its pastor, and if that person is not teaching God’s word, or doing what God says they are to do they should be let go. And replaced, there should be no place for slick the preacher in any church, churches should take away the money so they will go somewhere else, when this happens we will see revival again. We have to walk away from doing anything that is not in the scriptures. We need to stop taking communion in an unworthy manner. We need pastors who will follow the rules that God gave for the clergy. Such as having only one living mate. Keeping their eyes off the women in their church congregation. When we hear them talking about hollywood we need to point out to them that hollywood is not saying they are a church, we are. Clergy abuse has to go. It will all begin when we take the communion like God told us to. In the great awakening that is where it began. There can be another Great Awakening, as it is a religious revival that impacted the English colonies in America during the 1730s and 1740s. So what is Examine Yourself Before Taking Communion do not let slick the pastor cut you off from God, through taking the communion we all should stop and let what God tells us in the bible be good enough for us* The Bible tells us that we need to take a good, long look at what is going on in our hearts when we partake in the Lord’s Supper. “Let a person examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup, ” Paul told the Corinthians (1 Corinthians 11:28). **We must not ever let that happen to us. We must stay mentally engaged when we partake of these elements. They have been ordained to soberly remind us of the high cost of God’s forgiveness (1 Peter 1:18–19). Eating and drinking them vividly depicts our union and solidarity with Christ as our Savior, Lord and Source of spiritual life (1 Corinthians 10:16). So in this we are always teaching that each one of us has to beware of slick the preacher who is out to be your God and will cut you off from God through the Communion. Communion is much more than just eating a piece of bread and taking a sip of wine and we say wine. It is this in the bible no matter what slick tells someone. The scriptures are telling us about the Jesus who is the Christmas Jesus, that Easter Jesus, the Sunday Jesus, the Only way to God Jesus as John 3:16 tells us all. The Communion is to us for this reason. And purposes. Remember Christ our Savior dying on the cross for the sin of humankind His as the Redeemer, and it is already done, so anyone can have church anywhere as Matt. 18:20 tells us we can, and that this Jesus is the savior and through Him only can a human leave this world saved. Proclaim his death, Because His blood pays what the clergy cannot pay for. Give thanks because He is the Lord and only way. Examine our hearts because salvation will be completed at the end of our human time here on earth. Commune with God and fellow believers, because He says so. Acknowledge our covenant with him, because we are all as humankind already under the New Covenant. Anticipate his return because He is good for His word and will return for those who seek Him as the way out. Anyone can read this and have an action in their life to do just what God tells us to do in the scriptures. What happened at the Last Passover Supper? We are saying the last one because the scripture says the last one, and it is where Jesus gave us the communion and the washing of the Saints feet. WHAT kind of strange teaching is this? Jesus washed the disciple’s feet, celebrated the last Passover and gave new meaning to the meal with a New Covenant Ordinance we all know as the, communion and the washing of feet. When anyone sees people who will not wash feet it is because they are not Christian and no matter what the mouth is saying they do not believe God or you. The first communion was in Jerusalem during Passover, the night before Jesus’ death over 2, 000 years ago. It was the person who is the savior and our redeemer and our Lord who gave this to the saved people, men do not get to change it into something they want it to be. Jesus and his disciples attended the last Passover dinner and did keep it just as God told the people to keep it, so Jesus did eat meat as God told them at the Passover a roasted Lamb’s flesh, so He was not a vegetarian as some slick preachers like to tell people. During the meal Jesus excused Judas to betray him. Jesus and the disciples were in a large upper room in Jerusalem — possibly the same room where Jesus appeared to the disciples after his death and where the Holy Spirit came to the disciples on Pentecost. We don’t know who the owner was, but when Jesus sent Peter and John to prepare the room he was expecting them. Passover is the annual celebration of the Israelites’ departure from Egypt. The Bible tells us that they were reclining at the table, so they were most likely seated on the floor. We know unleavened bread and wine were on the table, but the Bible here does not mention what other food was present but we do know what they were told in the scriptures to do at Passover, and Jesus did His Fathers will always. We don’t know if lamb was on the table as Jesus was the perfect lamb on this special Passover! Swipe to see the parallels of the Passover lamb and Christ. Ancient Passover rituals include drinking four cups of wine. Each cup has meaning: Cup of sanctification Cup of plagues Cup of redemption Cup of praise or blessing Jesus emphasized the third cup during his Passover meal with the disciples as he declared the New Covenant. This is the cup of redemption. He was referring to this cup as he prayed in the garden “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will” (Matt 26:39). Jesus told the disciples, “I tell you I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it again with you in my Father’s kingdom.” This is the fourth cup! The cup of praise and blessing that he will one day share with us in Heaven at the Supper of the Lamb! Isn’t that remarkable? This Jesus will Rapture out His people, as the bible tells us He will, Jesus Christ will call all believers to Himself in what is called the Rapture. Paul the great apostle foretells this in 1 Corinthians 4:51–55 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18. Jesus first gave indication of this great event in John 14:1–3, and later gave the promise to us through John in Revelation 3:10. But a revival is not what the rapture is. What a beautiful experience we are able to share on this side of the cross! You don’t have to look far to see the depths of how far we as a world, a nation, and a people have fallen from God. Holiness of life and true revival can not be separated. A so-called “revival” that does not produce holiness is not a work of the Holy Spirit. Here we may offer an important reminder that true revival cannot be manufactured by men. The sign that says “revival next week” doesn’t really communicate what true revival is for true revival is God-sent and according to His plans and purposes, not ours. Here are some Bible verses about revival for you to meditate on as you are seeking God for personal revival and revival in the church and our nation. Revival is not some meeting you attend or something that happens because of a great man or woman of God. The real meaning of revival in the Bible is when God’s people realize their need to be spiritually restored and revitalized in their walk with Jesus. It starts at home and then spreads to our churches, communities, cities, and our nation. That is the true revival meaning biblically. It is not us putting on a show. Revival brings back the need for the great delight in God's holiness. Believers begin to develop a taste and relish for the sweetness of God's holiness and an equal distaste for and hatred of sin, which becomes increasingly bitter to them. As the Holy Spirit dwells in them, they find that God leads them to love His holiness, and they long to be like Him. We will never build a strong church, people, without revival, because that is what revival is for, and unless it is Bible-centered. Only as we respect and seek to obey the written Word of God will the church people be revived. We must repeatedly renounce our own human opinions, and gladly accept God’s instructions as given in the Bible. Jesus accepted the Bible as authoritative. He spoke of: the creation of Adam and Eve (Matthew 19:4) the Flood in Noah’s time (Luke 17:27) the miracles performed by Elijah (Luke 4:25) the big fish that swallowed Jonah (Matthew 12:40) the life of David (Mark 2:25) the glory of Solomon (Matthew 6:29) the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah (Luke 17:28-30) In the Church. Many churches are worldly, formal and lacking in spiritual power and vitality. Only revival can alter this state of affairs. 3. In our own lives. How powerless we are! How frequently we fail, our testimony seems ineffective, and how little we pray! Revival is our personal need. Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4 The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. Psalm 19:7 Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Romans 15:4 The word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to divide soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 Great peace has they who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble. Psalm 119:165 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 The man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does. James 1:25 Because Christ himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. Hebrews 2:18 God will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help. Psalm 72:12 You, O God, do see trouble and grief; you consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to you; you are the helper of the fatherless. Psalm 10:14 Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. Isaiah 59:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. Psalm 28:7 Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. Psalm 68:19 It is the Sovereign LORD who helps me. Who is he that will condemn me? They will all wear out like a garment; the moths will eat them up. Isaiah 50:9 We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. Psalm 33:20 There will never be any revival until we are willing to admit our desperate need for it. The clergy has to be cleaned up, when we have preachers who will do anything and justify it we can’t have revival with the repentance beginning with the clergy. Slick the preacher has to go, God has no such thing as a clergy who has more than one living mate. Mat 5:28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has Pro 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. 1 John 2:16, 17 For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh, the desires Exo 20:17 You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. Spiritual revival includes a renewed love for God and things of God, appreciating the holiness of the Lord, a conviction of any personal sin or corporate sin and a desire to repent and grow in righteousness, spiritual humility and a renewed passion and desire for the word of God and his church. The clergy has to be this or they are not what God calls the clergy. All those who are called by God to preach and teach are to preach Jesus as the lord not themselves as the boss, or police over someone's salvation. 1 John 4:8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. John 10:11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the Eph 5:11 Have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that Ecc 3:1 To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: Because THE CALL OF GOD on the clergy, it is up to us, and the people to seek revival, and to do this job. It is not the only reason we should seek revival, we should be the first to return to whatever God calls for. If God says it it should be good enough for us. The saved people are to HUNGER FOR THE WORD OF GOD. In Nehemiah 8:1 the people told Ezra “to bring the Book.” Daily we can face a myriad of news stories, headlines, social media posts, phone calls, texts, etc. We can listen to and read many opinions from others. First and foremost, I need the Bible. Lord, give us a hunger for Your Word and to hear You first and foremost. Prayer will help us PAY ATTENTION TO THE WORD OF GOD. Nehemiah 8:3 records the people were “attentive” to the Book. From early morning until mid-day, they are listening to the Word of God. Standing the whole time too. It sounds elementary, but I need to actually pay attention to the teaching of the Word. Lord, help me to pay attention to Your Word. The following of God’s creed of Doctrines does show us how to CELEBRATE THE GREATNESS OF THE GOD OF THE WORD. Nehemiah 8:6 tells us that Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. The Word of God is about God. Forgive me for stating the obvious, but I can read the Bible like it is a book of counsel and guidance – and it is – however, I must remember the Bible testifies to the Greatness, Goodness, Graciousness of our God. Nehemiah, Ezra, and the others lived under a regime that was all about other gods (false and fake). Yet, I know the One True God reigns and is worthy of praise. Because of the Lord Jesus, I have a relationship with God. Lord, praise You for Your Greatness! When we follow what the scriptures say we are a light, and do HELP OTHERS UNDERSTAND THE WORD OF GOD. Nehemiah 8:8 records that they helped others understand the reading. I am thankful we can help others. Praise the Lord for the calling to preach the Word. Personal revival ought to lead to public impact. Thank you to those who lead and teach in churches, lead and host small groups, Vacation Bible Schools… Lord, give me a heart to help others understand Your Word. God calls for us to ADJUST our LIFE TO THE WORD OF GOD. In the second of half of Nehemiah 8, the people seek to adjust and do what they read about in the Scriptures. Lord, give me the wisdom and strength to adjust, repent, and submit to Your Word. Lord, thank You for Your Word. God wants us all to leave this world like this, and it is what He offers to all humans. The saved person will seek God for these things in this life before their life ends. Revival is extraordinary in one sense, but in another, it is simply an emphasis on matters that should be present in the everyday life of the Believer. One thing that happens in true revival is the Holy Spirit pressing upon our minds and hearts a real urgency for God and eternal things. It is not about bringing in those who will give money so the income of the pastor can be safe. In 2 Chronicles 7:14 God lays out what we need to do as His people; it is not the world that needs to return, it is us. If my people, who are called by my name (God is talking to Christians, His people, not lost people) will humble themselves (bow down to God in humility and acknowledge that He is Lord) and pray (pray regularly & reverently) seek my face (hungrily seek God and His presence and His word & voice) and turn from their wicked ways (Repent! Turn from all sins, living for yourself, unforgiveness…) then I will hear from heaven (then our relationship & fellowship with God will be right again) and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land (God will pour out His spirit and will bring Spiritual Awakening and many will be saved) Revival Scriptures About Revival Because it is Reformation In true revival, sin is hated, and not just other people’s sins. Wrongs are righted (as well as they can be) even from years ago. Sin is seen for what it is — wretched and vile — and the people of God seek to confess it to Him as He makes them aware of it. When necessary, it is confessed to others in both private and public settings. "What does true revival look like? " (Isaiah 6:1-8) 1. Our Need for a Fresh Touch from God (vs. 1a) 2. God as He really is (vs. 1b - 4) 3. Our sinfulness and need for cleansing (vs. 5) 4. God's Gracious Provision (vs. 6-7) 5. The Mission (vs. 8a) 6. We Respond with Joyful Obedience (vs. 8b) God has a plan for the life of every individual believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. Not only does His call involve a wonderful purpose for us throughout eternity, but we also have an expression of that call upon the earth now. So Revival strengthens and deepens the faith of a Christian and also opens his or her eyes to God’s truth in a fresh and new way. It generally marks a new beginning of a life of obedience to God. One of the things revival does in the life of a believer is that it breaks the power of the world which holds the believer back from loving God. Spiritual revival gives a believer the strength to live in the world without an unholy love and desire for the things of the world. "Who has saved us, and CALLED us with a holy calling....according to his own purpose and grace..." (2 Tim 1:9) Spiritual revival is heralded by a return to fervent prayer and worship. The Spirit illuminates Scripture and lives refocus on faith-filled obedience to what God says. If repentance is necessary there is no condemnation, just happily redirected minds and behavior. Love for one another flows more freely, deeply and practically. Lives filled with the Holy Spirit ooze faith and miracle-working power, which radiates to transform unreached individuals by the thousand. Eventually entire communities turn from darkness to light. The Word of God is all we need to return anyone to God. The Word of God draws us to Him 1 Peter 1:23 23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. 1Thessalonians 2:13 13 And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe. The Word of God is a sword wielded by the Holy Spirit, penetrating the hearts of men Ephesians 6:17 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Hebrews 4:12 12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to divide soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. The Word of God is like a hammer Jeremiah 23:29 29 "Is not my word like fire, " declares the LORD, "and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces? The Word of God is our spiritual food Matthew 4:4 4 Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" The Word of God equips us for every good work 2 Timothy 3:16-17 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. God's Word is not chained. It is always working 2 Timothy 2:8-9 8 Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, 9 for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God's word is not chained. "Now if we are children, then we are heirs - heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ...And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE" (Rom 8:17, 28). See also verses 29, 30. WHY DOES HE CALL US? Because The World Is In Darkness "We know that we ourselves are children of God, and we also know that the world around us is under the power of the evil one" (1 John 5:19 Phillips). See also Ephesians 6:12 and Colossians 1:13 Because People Are Hungry And In Need "When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd" (Matt 9:36). To Prove His Wisdom "His intent was that now, through the Church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in heavenly realms, according to the eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Eph 3:10, 11).Because The Time Is Short "Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for the harvest! " (John 4:35). See also John 9:4 . WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE ARE CALLED? We Are Made By Him ”Come, follow me, ' Jesus said, 'and I WILL MAKE YOU fishers of men' " (Matt 4:19). See also Jeremiah 18:1-10. We Are Taught By Him "But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you" (John 14:26). See also 1 Corinthians 2:12; 1 John 2:27 We Are Sent By Him "As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world" (John 17:18). See also Mark 16:15. When God calls, He comes and interrupts our lives. Some examples of this in the Scripture are: Moses (a shepherd in the desert): "Go, set my people free" (Exodus 3:1-12) Samuel (a boy serving in the temple): "Wake up, speak for me" (1 Sam 3:1-19). Ezekiel (a captive in a foreign land): "Stand up, I am sending you" (Eze 2:1-7). Disciples (businessmen, fishermen): "Come, follow me" (Luke 5:27, 28; Matt 4:18- 22). Saul (an enemy of the Church): "Go, I will tell you what you must do" (Acts 9:1-9). Our appeal should be focused upon God, our God, the Judge, the King, our Father, and our relationship to Him. Revival will return us all to what God tells us we should be. 1. We are not to be conformed to the world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. 2. We are not to curse others, but to bless them. 3. We are not to hate our enemies, but to love them. 4. We are not to be drunk with wine, but to be filled with the Spirit. 5. We are not only to put off the old man, but to put on the new man. 6. We are not to fear, but to put our trust in God. 7. We are not to be anxious, but to pray about everything. Nehemiah 4:2 "And he spoke before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, '' What are these feeble Jews? Will they fortify themselves? Will they sacrifice? Will they end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned? " Psalm 85:6 "Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? " Psalm 138:7 "Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me." Isaiah 57:15 "For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabited eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones." Hosea 6:2 "After two days will he revive us: on the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight." Habakkuk 3:2 "O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy." Psalms 71:20 "Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth." Psalm 80:18 "So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name." Psalm 118:17 "I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD." Psalm 119:25 "My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word." Psalm 119:37 "Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way." Psalm 119:40 "Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness." Psalm 119:50 "This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me." Psalm 119:88 "Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth." Psalm 119:93 "I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me." Psalm 119:107 "I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O LORD, according unto thy word." Psalm 119:144 "The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live." Psalm 119:149 "Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: O LORD, quicken me according to thy judgment." Psalm 119:154 "Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word." Psalm 119:156 "Great are thy tender mercies, O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments." Psalm 119:159 "Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness." Psalm 143:11 "Quicken me, O LORD, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble." Proverbs 7:2 "Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye." Ecclesiastes 7:12 "For wisdom is a defense, and money is a defense: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it." Isaiah 55:3 "Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. Ezekiel 16:6 "And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live." Ezekiel 37:3 "And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, ``O Lord GOD, thou knowest." Ezekiel 37:9 "Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live." Amos 5:4 "For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live." Amos 5:14 "Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken." Habakkuk 2:4 "Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but he shall live by his faith." 1 Corinthians 15:45 "And so it is written, The first Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Romans 6:11 "Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord." Matthew 4:4 "But he answered and said, For It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Romans 8:13 "For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live." Romans 1:17 "For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith." II Corinthians 13:4 "For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you." Galatians 2:20 "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." II Timothy 2:11 "It is a faithful saying: For if we are dead with him, we shall also live with him." James 4:15 "For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that." How can this happen in a world gone so mad with the troubles we all have had the last few years? When the storms of life come, we are all tempted to fear. Fear is one of the greatest tools of the devil to destroy both the unbeliever and the Believer. We need to return to what God is to us! 1. The Fatherhood of God (our sonship) (Luke 11:1-13). 2. The Unity (oneness) of God (based upon our unity) (Matthew 18:19). 3. The Delight of God (our delight in Him) (Psalm 37:4). 4. Mount Sterling Topix/Craigslist replacement » Standing on the Truth!
Standing on the Truth! From the Elder's Wife, Old Church of God of the New Covenant, 1Cor. 1:2- Gal. 1:13- Eph. 2:15-21- Jer. 31:31- Heb. 8:1-13. Women can be in the service of God and a part of His work here on earth! Until next time The Elders Wife Rosa, standing in the Gap for Him today: As women we have to always be on guard to stay with the Lord, as the Elders wife He has always pointed to Jesus as My first responsibility as a saved person, but has shown me that any person can fall into sin. Standing on the truth lets us all return to the Lord when we may fall and anyone can fall, beware of any man or woman who is telling you they can’t sin. We were given great work here as women in the service of God. Titus 2:3-5 teaches that older women are to be good teachers and models for younger women. We can’t be what we will not receive or do. Mary, the mother of our Lord, was not perfect or sinless, but she was a good example of sound parenting for moms and dads alike. Consider: now she would not have let anyone worship Her, but would have pointed to God as the one who is to be worshiped. She was a woman who would not have worshiped a man, but was very much in love with the man God gave Her as a husband. 1. HER CHARACTER FOR US TO SEE IS VERY CLEAR Highly Favored, or "Full of Grace" - She was a saved woman. Luke 1:26-28 2. HER COURAGE 1:30-38 She considered but did accept what the angel had to say, realizing she would be falsely accused of immorality, she did what God asked her to do. 3. HER CONTEMPLATION Luke 2:19, 51 Mary meditated on what was said about and by her son. She attempted to understand. Understanding is something all our children need it. 4. HER CONFIDENCE John 2:1-11 Mary believed in her son. See Vs. 5 5. HER COMMITMENT John 19:25 Mary stayed committed to her son right up to the cross! No matter where we go or what we do God is always present. Psalm 139:7 we can be strong and be women as well. There are some things we should get clear, in our minds and hearts. GOD IS PRESENT WHEN WE ARE REJECTED – Hagar – Genesis 16, 21:1-20 GOD IS PRESENT WHEN WE ARE REBELLING – Balaam – Numbers 22-24 GOD IS PRESENT WHEN WE ARE RUNNING – Jonah – Jonah 1-2 GOD IS PRESENT WHEN WE ARE REVEALING – Daniel 5 There is power in the Blood, for the women as well as the men! OUR God is God to us all! GOD IS THE SOURCE OF POWER for the saved person, so Go to Him daily in Payer, and there is power in the blood of Jesus as our savior. Matthew 6:13 - And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. And we say Amen. JESUS HAS THE POWER TO FORGIVE SIN not men! And God requires us all to be merciful. It is not just the women who should give, but we should have the courage to first show the Lord in what we do but also ask our husbands to do the same. So all of us can live under what God has for us all! Matthew 9:6 - But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy, ) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. Look at this list of things that we have as Christians because we are in Christ! An we women are the in that WE” REDEMPTION IN CHRIST Romans 3:24 - Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: So when you are down remember to take it to the Lord in Prayer. There is FREEDOM IN CHRIST Romans 8:1-4 - There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. There is SECURITY IN CHRIST Romans 8:38-39 - For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Make it this way before Him, saying One of Your Lord is coming before You The one who is BELONGING IN CHRIST Romans 12:5 - So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Galatians 3:26 - For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Can we start today praising Him for what He has done for us? Lord You set Me aside, SANCTIFICATION IN CHRIST 1 Corinthians 1:2 - because we do see ourselves just like those here, Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: The Saved have a COMPLETENESS IN CHRIST and can be forgiving to others. 1 Corinthians 1:30 - But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. Tell Him You were dead before your LIFE IN CHRIST 1 Corinthians 15:22 - For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. Just tell Him You want the LOVE IN CHRIST to be returned to You 1 Corinthians 16:24 - My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen. We can only Have VICTORY IN CHRIST sometimes others can cause brokenness. 2 Corinthians 2:14 - Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savor of his knowledge by us in every place. You are to have NEWNESS IN CHRIST and in that the brokenness is removed for us all. 2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Walk new because it is in Him that we become all New. God has already said it. Love has already come for us all we have been and in our RECONCILIATION IN CHRIST 2 Corinthians 5:19 - To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. IN CHRIST Jesus we stand. 2 Corinthians 11:3 - But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. Mankind will never have the UNITY IN CHRIST without Jesus as the only way to God as we are told in John 3:16 we all become one in Him, and through Him. Galatians 3:28 - There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. In Christ Jesus we are looked upon and just a saved human our Gender has nothing to do with it, even so we are still women, walking before Him in the flesh. BLESSINGS IN CHRIST has come to us all but if He has said it it should be good enough for us. Ephesians 1:3 - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: There is a PURPOSE IN CHRIST for us! Ephesians 2:10 - For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. There is JOY IN CHRIST for all of us! Philippians 3:3 - For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. As long as we are human we are to have FAITH, and stay IN CHRIST, Colossians 1:3-4 - We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints, Whoever preaches or teaches must preach Jesus and not themselves. Colossians 1:28 - Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: All the way until DEATH we stay in CHRIST! 1 Thessalonians 4:16 - For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: GRACE IN CHRIST It that Mercy we all live by. 2 Timothy 2:1 - Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. SALVATION IN CHRIST and Him as the only way! 2 Timothy 2:10 - Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. GODLINESS IN CHRIST 2 Timothy 3:12 - Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. Do you want a little peace? PEACE IN CHRIST 1 Peter 5:14 - Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen. Heaven wants us all to! Live this in our life, saying this to the world around us and to God in Heaven ALL THAT I HAVE OF VALUE IS IN CHRIST as My savior.! And remember this all we Have He has given us and we should be quick to give, and say to I have nothing that i did not receive from You Lord and i have nothing you can have in Your work here below, when we stand like this we stand in the power of God. ERROR COMES WHEN WE DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE SCRIPTURE OR THE POWER OF GOD Matthew 22:29 - Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. THIS IS THE TRUE JESUS Matthew 24:30 - And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. JESUS’ ENEMIES WILL SEE HIS POWER So don't be afraid all any one has to do is come as they are, we do need to beware of getting in the way of someone coming to the Lord. He will come for us! Matthew 26:64 - Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. WHEN WE WITNESS AND SOMETIMES WE DO HAVE TO, by the way we live and sometimes we should USE WORDS. We need more than ever to ask God to place in us more of Him and less of us. Matthew 28:18-20 - And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and on earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Acts 1:8 - But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Remember that we are still human and that GOD HAS POWER TO CAST INTO HELL. Luke 12:5 - But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. CHRISTIANS RECEIVE POWER TO BECOME THE SONS OF GOD but it will be at the end of this human time on earth. John 1:12 - But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: JESUS HAS POWER FROM GOD TO GIVE ETERNAL LIFE with Him and we are given a choice of where we go after this life. Heaven or Hell is the choice given to us all. John 17:2 - As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. FAITH AND POWER GO TOGETHER SAVING FAITH – Ephesians 2:8-9 SEEKING FAITH – Hebrews 11:6 SUSTAINING FAITH – Proverbs 3:5-6 STANDING (STEADFAST) FAITH – Psalm 25:1 SPEAKING FAITH – Mark 11:22-24 Sometimes it does cost us it all, to obey Him. Acts 6:8 - And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people. THE GOSPEL IS THE POWER OF GOD UNTO SALVATION IN THAT IT IS JESUS WHO IS THE SAVIOR. Romans 1:16 - For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. WE ABOUND IN HOPE BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT Romans 15:13 - Now the God of hope fills you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. WE ARE STEADFAST THROUGH THE POWER OF GOD Romans 16:25 - Now to him that is of power to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, Walking in this truth we should stop and have? DAILY PRIORITY Romans 12:1-2 - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Luke 9:23-24 - And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. DAILY POWER Ephesians 3:16 - That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; Ephesians 5:18 - And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Galatians 5:16 - This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. DAILY PRECEPTS Psalm 119:97 - O how love I thy law! It is my meditation all day. Jeremiah 15:16 - Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts. DAILY PURITY 1 Peter 1:15-16 - But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. Matthew 5:8 - Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. DAILY PRAISE 1 Thessalonians 5:16 - Rejoice evermore. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 - In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Philippians 4:4 - Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. DAILY PRAYER Colossians 4:2 - Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; 1 Thessalonians 5:17 - Pray without ceasing. Ephesians 6:18 - Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; DAILY PROCLAMATION Matthew 28:19-20 - Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. 2 Timothy 4:2 - Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with and with longsuffering and doctrine. News flash we are still humans, even if we are saved, so we do fall down. We will not win anyone to Christ by pretending to be something we are not. People do not like hypocrisy even when they are hypocritical themselves. One of the worst things we can do as Christians is to pretend everything is okay when it isn’t. Some have this convoluted idea that Christians are to always smile, always laugh, always appear on top of things even when they are not. They are to never get angry or hurt. God tells us to love like He loves us and that means we are to love the people who will not love us back. You know that thing over there you or I don’t like. We Christians do have our sorrows. We do have our hurts, trials and disappointments. We do get angry. We do have bad days. We do have to forgive others. Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4 - To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; Unsaved people need to see that we are human, we are real. But what should they see that’s different from them in this? In our sorrow we should show hope and joy and thanksgiving. In our anger we should show forgiveness. Christians should not be defeated by sorrows. We should use them as stepping stones towards a closer walk with God and that makes us different from the unsaved. James 1:2-4, Ephesians 4:32 Until next time The Elders Wife Rosa, standing in the Gap for Him today: Mothers keep your children close, Parents, you have been given an awesome job. You have been commissioned by God to raise your children in His eyes. Tell your children that God has commissioned you to teach them about God to train them in what He has for us all, and when you speak of what is wrong or right it is because You have to obey.. Children should be given the understanding that God has given you the job and commissioned you that through tem God says to teach them. Proverbs 22:6, Ephesians 6:4 Mom Dad do this in your homes! Show your children that you do not have anything that you did not receive from the Lord and that there is nothing that He can’t have of yours for His service. There is one more reason that I’d like to add. You should live a life totally sold out to Jesus Christ because He says to live such a life. Luke 9:23-24, Matthew 10:39, Luke 14:26-27 THERE ARE REASONS TO LEAN! THERE ARE REASONS TO LOVE! THERE ARE REASONS TO LEARN TRUTH! THERE ARE REASONS TO LISTEN! THERE ARE REASONS TO LIVE! Pray for our nation. This can be our Your service in the Lord:

That would be awesome. It needs to be done.

Mount Sterling Topix/Craigslist replacement » No Cashiers at WalMart
I'm tired of WalMart only opening 1 or 2 lanes where there are cashiers. They want everyone to pack their own stuff, which is a major pain if you buy fruits or veggies. I'd like to get about 50 people to pack a cart load of groceries, including meats, and leave them behind at checkout if it's backed up without enough cashiers. If we did it regularly maybe they'd get the message.

Mount Sterling Topix/Craigslist replacement » Where should we stand?
uld we always follow and obey God's will and live a Godly life? From the Elder Old Church of God of the New Covenant. We who are and what we are saved from, are our past sins, and we are called a Christian because we are in Jesus as the Christ so we naturally want to please God and make Him happy. But what exactly makes God happy? Or as my son Chad says His Hope came like this! And it was why He went forward seeking the water at that old church at owingsville Ky, I received brothers and sisters that day, those who will never step aside for any cause I may have, Because they had this same mercy given them and that is what they could show, and did show me, their Real Mercy to others, this is what fuels that compassion they have, providing promising glints of light in a darkened world. It’s kindness, forward forgiveness, and empathy. Mercy they had chosen to be offended first to all who would come to Christ, and so they made the choice compassionately by letting God work in them and in the eyes of all who come to Him, sees a hurting heart behind hurtful words they will stand still, stand beside anyone. God’s mercy is reflected in the cross of Christ, a direct reflection of His love for us so they just begin there. Mercy is an extension of an expression of love, “an act of kindness, compassion, or favor. ” Mercy is a characteristic of the One True God. So there is one thing I know for sure, just because I am a shut in, they will call my name in prayer, if they could do anything for me they would. He always says, that the deep in me began to cry out to the deep above us, that day so it is with all who need a savior, and so it is His will that we all have that choice. This mercy that they show is nothing but this. “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. ” (Lamentations 3:22-23, that day I could see what it means for His people to stand on His very plan of Choice and and a work that will begin us all if we John 3;16 as His who-so-evers. God’s plan stems from His merciful love for His people. Knowing there was nothing we could do to earn our way into His presence, He made a way through the crucifixion of Christ. Defeating death, Jesus opened up access to God for us. Through prayer, God’s Word, and the Holy Spirit living in us, each day brings fresh new mercy. Every morning, God is faithful, even though every day, we fall short. Mercy is God’s gift to the repentant heart. Of all things they understood this, The wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy. ” (James 3:17. That day the lord di show me this I was where this was alive and in action, Leniency, lenience, clemency, softheartedness, mildness, charity, tenderness, lenity, charitableness, compassion, gentleness, benevolence, benignancy, forbearance, toleration, forgiveness, kindness, quarter, humaneness, humanity, indulgence, tolerance, boon, commiseration, favor, generosity, godsend, goodwill, grace, kindliness, lifesaver, pity, relief, sympathy. The work of God was on me and in my thinking the words were what more do you seek, you are here, so as we all do I went for that new life. The Greek word for Sanctification in the New Testament is "hagiasmos", which means "consecration, purification". The root word for "hagiasmos"/Sanctification is "hagiazō"/Sanctify, which means "to separate from profane things and dedicate to God, to be set apart, to purify by expiation and be free from sin, to purify internally by renewing of the soul, to cleanse the spirit, to consecrate things to God, to dedicate people to God". this is a choice we are give to make, but He is the changer, so I can say it best this way when we don’t have to anymore it is like this, the process of separating ourselves from the profane things of this world, of consecrating and dedicating ourselves to God, and then of purifying ourselves from sin through repentance and renunciation to renew our soul and cleanse our spirit is through the who-so-ever way. We can understand this a little better this way! In the first letter to the Thessalonians Paul writes that our Sanctification is the will of God and that keeping from and renouncing fornication is part of that Sanctification. Fornication is something that we should separate from, as it is a pagan practice and sin; it is what the pagans do, because they do not love and they do not know God. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8 - "For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from fornication; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified. For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit. " In the same letter to the Thessalonians Paul writes that Sanctifying ourselves is something that has to be done completely, partially is not acceptable. Sanctification of Soul and Spirit is a process and it happens little by little: as God through His Mercy and His Grace shows us the areas of our life that need to be Sanctified, we recognize and repent of sin and cleanse ourselves. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 - "Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. " So what was it that was so great in such people like this that I say that day? I saw Outgoing Mercy, and that is Buckshee Mercy. The Showing of God’s mercy not only shows us all who he is, but also tells us something essential about ourselves. That we have been shown mercy means not only that we didn’t deserve his favor, but that we deserved his righteous hammer against the anvil of justice. Our cry for mercy admits to our ill-deserving, not just undeserving. By rights, we should be under his impending wrath, like all mankind (Ephesians 2:3) — but for “the tender mercy of our God” (Luke 1:78). They showed a mercy that Paul had once Marveled at as we can read in the scripture. Romans 9:22 This was why the pastor there would always go back to the book of Romans! Romans 5:1-2 - Having been justified by faith, we have peace with God... we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We are no longer enemies of God. He was seeking this to be in their understanding!! 2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17 - God loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace. Romans 5:1, 2 - We have access to grace, so we rejoice in the hope of glory. 2 Timothy 2:1 - Be strong in the grace of Christ. 2 Corinthians 9:8 - God's grace makes us all-sufficient in all things, so we can abound in all good works. It provides all spiritual blessings we need to serve God. Paul was out to give this same teaching to us all : He once said, Then, in the fullness of time, God sent his own Son not simply to dispense his mercy, but to embody it. Jesus is the Mercy of God made human. He didn’t just teach his people to echo God’s mercy in their lives (Matthew 5:7; 18:33; Luke 6:36; Luke 10:37), but he himself was, and is, the mercy of God to us. Fittingly, the most prominent request made of Jesus in the Gospels is, “Have mercy on me! ” (Matthew 9:27; 15:22; 17:15; 20:30–31; Mark 10:47–48; Luke 16:24; 17:13; 18:13, 38–39), which is precisely what he did in his perfect life, sacrificial death, and triumphant resurrection — extending God’s mercy not just to Israel, but to all the nations by faith. The apostle Paul, who received his ministry because of God’s mercy (1 Corinthians 7:25; 2 Corinthians 4:1; 1 Timothy 1:13, 16), became the instrument of the decisive revelation. What Moses first saw, and David fell on, and Jeremiah wept for, Paul saw on the other side of Christ, and he marveled. In all the Bible, Paul gives us the clearest vantage into, as Romans 9:16 says, the God “who has mercy” — literally, the mercy-having God. In other words, God’s mercy expresses his heart, as Paul will show, in a way that the demonstration of his wrath and the display of his power do not. Romans 9:22–23 gives us the deepest glimpse into God’s heart, and what we find at bottom is mercy. This is perhaps as deep as the Bible goes in explaining to us why God governs his creation as he does. Paul puts it in the form of a question, not because he’s unsure of the truth, but for rhetorical effect, because it is awesome and sobering to contemplate. When we were saved, we were to be more, so Christ came into our spirit, the deepest, innermost part of our being. This was the beginning of God’s filling us. Our spirit is where Christ now dwells in us and where we fellowship with God. It has the unique ability to contain God, contact God, and receive God, and we still cry out come unto me Lord day by day. Receive Chad's bible study: 1-7 to understand how we are more than what we were before we made the choice of Jesus as our savior. Because we are still in the flesh, a body that is just human, and the flesh is not great at obedience. From the Elder: But God also made us with a soul. Our soul experiences emotions, thinks and considers, and makes all kinds of decisions. Our outward actions spring from our soul, and our soul is the means by which God expresses Himself through us. But with Him in us we can love those who will not show us love, we find ourselves helping when we never had and help for anyone, for sure we begin to love like He loves. So if Christ remains confined in our spirit and doesn’t fill our soul—our mind, emotion, and will—He’ll never be expressed through us. Instead, our living will only express our own thoughts, feelings, and decisions, not His. To please God, we first need to know what He wants. Otherwise, we can spend a lot of time doing things we think He wants, but end up not pleasing Him. Let’s take a look at what we think God wants, and what God actually wants for our Christian life. In short we don’t have to anymore, because He is in us. Throughout God’s Word, we find the instruction to “give thanks. ” Here are a few examples: “Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people” (I Chronicles 16:8). “O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever” (I Chronicles 16:34). “Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness” (Psalm 30:4). One verse in the New Testament defines when we are to “give thanks. ” The Thessalonians 5:18 says: “In every thing give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. ” There are no boundaries, no “exception clauses'' in regard to when we are to give thanks. We are to give thanks “in everything. ” A key to forgiving your offender is realizing that God can work through your suffering to accomplish His purposes in your life. Ultimately, God is in control. He allows the good and bad things in life, and we can trust Him to work all things together for good in the lives of those who love Him. (See Romans 8:28. ) Facing Trials and Tests With Grace, remember that you are not the only one who faces this in life. Understanding why they come and how to respond? What is a Christian to do when faced with disappointment, disaster, and despair? Scripture teaches us that “all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28). Yet when we encounter difficulties, we often wonder, Why? Searching for answers and learning to view “bad things” as “good things in disguise” are disciplines that God wants His children to develop as they mature spiritually. (See I Corinthians 2:14 and Romans 8:1–17. ) When you respond to God’s grace and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, you are “born again” into the Kingdom of God. At the moment of salvation, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in your spirit. He confirms your relationship with God, comforts you, and leads you into all truth. (See Romans 8:16, John 14:16–17 and 16:13. ) God begins the supernatural work of transforming you, His child, into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ, Who was and is perfect. (See Romans 8:29. ) As you mature in your faith, God uses tests and trials to develop your character and ministry. By responding to trials in the grace of God, you will experience the power of God’s Spirit, which will be manifested in your life through the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control. (See Galatians 5:22–23. ) “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: but rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy” (I Peter 4:12–13). The Trials and Tests We all do Encounter in one way or the other. Go now and make yourselves ready see tis descriptions of eight types of tests that every Christian will likely face: When these things come, remember that God sees all we do, and hears all we say. Fiery trials: intense encounters or struggles; bursts of anger, grief, or lust Infirmities: physical limitations and illnesses Reproaches: ridicule and rejection on account of faith or holiness Persecutions: harassment and oppression due to religious convictions Necessities: wear and care of daily responsibilities Distresses: disappointments and deep hurts Tribulations: unusual pressures and challenges Temptations: opportunities to yield to our sinful nature Your Response Makes All the Difference The Apostle Paul regarded these “tests” as opportunities to grow spiritually. Instead of despairing when he encountered trials, Paul said he would glory in his infirmities so that the power of Christ would rest upon him. (See II Corinthians 12:9. ) As we, like Paul, choose to trust God and accept the grace He gives us, Christ’s character will be formed in us. “We glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope: and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” (Romans 5:3–5). Unless you accept God’s grace to deal with suffering, inevitably you will become bitter. However, if you choose to trust God to bring about His purposes through the suffering, you can avoid the trap of bitterness and grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord. (See II Corinthians 5:7, Ephesians 4:31, Hebrews 12:14–15, and II Peter 3:18. ) You can be confident that God will not allow anything to happen to you without His permission, and He will not let any “bad thing” happen that will not ultimately bring you more good than destruction. (See I Peter 4:12–13, Romans 9:14–24, Isaiah 55:8–9, Job 1:6–12, Genesis 50:20, and Psalm 121. ) Until next time The Elder

The book of James is inspired to help us be aware of the danger of our wagging tongues. Read the third chapter of James verses 1-18. The Christian will seek to honor our father and the practice of Phillipians 4:8-9. We bad mouth, besmirch, put down, slander, tarnish, belittle, and dishonor others with our tongue. Most of our world’s problems are due to bad media, and our judgments against others. All of this exists because we have a need to control anyone but ourselves. So you want to know? Thank you for your Calls and emails. From the Elder: Old Church of God of the New Covenant, the church people one can read about in the scriptures, 1 Cor. 1:2- Gal. 1:13- Eph. 2:15-21- Heb. 8:1-13- Jer. 3:15-16 Jer. 31:31- Acts 20:28- Rom. 10:14-16. John 3:3-7 - John 3:16- Matt. 18:20 1 Cor. 10:32- this church people will Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth Obedience bringing the reward of earthly greatness and wealth of what one has need of as a flash and blood human, even if one does not have great understanding, the church is people that are taught to be content with food and raiment, and to expect persecution and hatred; it is perceived that just as distinctly as Israel stands connected with temporal and earthly things, so distinctly does the New Covenant church people stand connected with spiritual and heavenly things as well as the things needed in this life. Beware of men who want your things in the name of God or Christ! Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling (Heb. 3: 1). For our conversation is in heaven (Phil. 3:20). Men are out to take not give. The all Christian all New Covenant is to be without pay for the clergy, and money is to begin at home first as we always tell people when we take up and offering 1 Timothy 5:5-8 tells us this. And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head (Matt. 8:20). To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you (1 Pet. 1:4) that person who John 3:16 and has no other way to Heaven. Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling-place (1. I Cor. 4: 11). And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! (Mark 10:23). Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? (James 2:5). They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service (John 16:2). Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 18:4). Of course it is not meant that a godly Jew did not, at death, go to heaven. Because they did keep the Feast days and Holy days the sabbath day, and the animals were placed on the altar for them but today we are given Jesus as the only way and those new people of God. The distinction is that the incentive to godliness in his case was earthly blessings, forgiveness through the keeping of the Laws, and heaven at the end for the Soul. It should be needless to say that, in this dispensation, neither Jew nor Gentile can be saved otherwise than by the exercise of that faith on the Lord Jesus Christ whereby both are born again (John 3:3, 16) and are baptized into that "one body" (1 Cor 12:13) which is "the church" (Eph. 1:22-23). In the church the distinction of Jew and Gentile disappears. (I Cor. 12:13; Gal. 3:28; Eph. 2:14. So in writing to the Ephesians the apostle speaks of them as "in time past Gentiles, " Eph. 2:11; 1 Cor. 12:2, also says, "ye were Gentiles. ") This makes what we read in Ezek. 18:1-22 become the truth for any person who has sins and wants to use the free will that God gave us under the All christian allNew Covenant where each one of us has to repent of what we do. So what kind of people live as Jesus of the bible tells them? Jesus has already told us what God the father requires of us, and He has done this in the scriptures : Mankind is to be born again; or he cannot see the kingdom of God. " John 3:3. Be born again? It is strange today just as it was when Jesus said this. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you (Matt. 5:44). The saved person is He who is to love those who will not love us back. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: being defamed, we entreat (I Cor. 4:12-13). But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also (Matt. 5:39). See also: Deuteronomy 21:18-21 and Luke 15:20-23. In the appointments for worship we still find contrast. Israel could worship in but one place and at a distance from God-only approaching Him through a priest. The all Christian all New Covenant church worships wherever two or three are gathered, has boldness to enter into the holiest, and is composed of priests. Compare Leviticus 17:8- 9 with Matthew 18:20, Luke 1:10 with Hebrews 10:19-20, Numbers 3:10 with I Peter 2:5. In the predictions concerning the future of Israel and the New Covenant church people, the distinction is still more startling. The New Covenant church who are saved through Jesus as Christ will be taken away from the earth entirely at death but return with Him when He comes for the Saints at the end it is a Rapture of the saved. Rapture Ready? Anyone can read this in our day and then walk away from the clergy that is not what God tells us to be. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. This is when we become Rapture ready and that can be the day we see death before He returns for the rest of His people. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also" (John 14:2, 3). "For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive, and remain unto the coming of the Lord, shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord (1 Thess. 4:15-17). We do teach and preach that you will need your body at the end as what God has made, He will save body and soul. "For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. " (Phil. 3:20, 21). "Beloved, now are we the sons of God; and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is" (1 John 3:2). "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb" (Rev. 19:7-9). "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years" (Rev. 20:6). The Savior came to make us more than what we were, more than what we had done, more than what others have done to us. The birth of which Christ is speaking comes from above - by the agency of the Holy Spirit. We as humans John 3;16, and then the Holy Spirit takes that person to Romans 10:9-13 where it all begins. Every human must have three births, one from their mother on earth as a baby, the next one from heaven, and the next to Heaven - one of his body, the other of his soul; without the first he cannot see nor enjoy this world, without the second he cannot see nor enjoy the kingdom of God. The new birth which is here spoken of includes, not only what is termed justification or pardon, that forgiveness, but also sanctification or holiness. Sin must be pardoned, and the impurity of the heart washed away, before any soul can possibly enter into the kingdom of God. As this new birth implies the renewing of the whole soul in righteousness and true holiness, it is not a matter which may be considered optional; heaven is a place of holiness, and nothing but what is like itself can ever enter into it. " Nicodemus said unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? " John 3:4. Nicodemus is struggling to assimilate this new idea of a second birth into his observations of life. "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. " John 3:5-7. The answer to Nicodemus' question. Even if it were possible to repeat physical birth the result would be the same. The plant will be of the nature of the seed which begets it - like will beget like. The kingdom of God is spiritual and holy; that which is born of the Spirit resembles the Spirit; for as he is who begat, so is he who is begotten of him. Therefore spiritual regeneration is a necessity to prepare the soul for a holy and spiritual kingdom. Well then, how does one go about being born again? 1. Believe. Do you believe what we have been reading about Jesus Christ? Jesus later told Nicodemus, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. " John 3:16. True belief results in action. Is is to be to the Jesus of the scriptures that we Go to not to men and the clergy for the salvation that is from God to us all. 2. Invite. The Holy Spirit of God stands eagerly awaiting the opportunity to renew your heart and soul should he receive the invitation. In Revelation 3:20 Jesus has been sending messages to a number of churches and closes with the statement, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock, if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. " If you have not already done so, we urge you to choose to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior and commit yourself to him. Do not let men get between you and your Lord. Remember, God knows your thoughts so you can communicate with him as if face to face. Admit your sinfulness and ask forgiveness. He will do so! Ask the Holy Spirit to cause you to be born again. This will be what He ask of you- Luke 13:2-3-Acts 3:19-Acts 17:30 so this is now you thinking as He calls for and understanding what He gives mercy to Prov. 28:13-24- Jer. 3:13-24- 1 John 1:9-10. This Jesus came for us all. Luke 2:1-22- but unlike what men tell you God has His creed of Doctrine and it does take men out of the salvation of the human race. Here is the way He makes us more than what we would be without the true savior we read of in the scripture! Human to human relationships gets a change: We get forgiveness. We see that we have sins as well as all who are human. What is a sinner as God calls them? Rom. 3:23- Gal. 3:22. -Ecc. 7:20-Rom. 5;8-Matt. 9:13-Luke 18:13-1 Tim. 1:15. Sin is this 1 John 3:4- Rom. 6:12-18-Gen. 4:7-Eph. 4:26- James 4:17. We get to understand and live His way so He does tell us what these things will do to us and what it is, and what we have done and will do to anyone as humans if we do not have Him as the savior. That new Birth has us doing what God calls His doctrines of Creed. Let us go to the Book of Matthew for just a clear understanding of what the Doctrines of God’s creed will do for the saved people. Adultery, we do then see as to a thing God hates and that it is a human sin that is a sin that we do ourselves. Matthew 5:27-32, Matthew 19:8-9, Matthew 19:18 Adversaries we all do have, and they are the self that brings them along with, and who we get information from, and those evil ways that are in this world are very real, and do bring us a downfall. We will have to stop men from telling us where Jesus is and who He is, because if we just John 3:16 it takes us to the true Jesus who is the savior, and it will not stop slick the preacher or remove him out of the way. Matthew 5:24-26 This Jesus who is the savior does tell us that we have a work to do as humans even after we are saved from our past sins. Anger is to be in control; this is one of His creeds. This is to be the new person at work on the self, in the human world. Matthew 5:22 Broad vs. narrow way so God’s way under the all Christian all New Covenant is a walk of Holiness, and it does call for us to live under His doctrines. So let us look at the book of John so we can understand who this savior is. Men do not get to police the salvation of humans. We see the Doctrines of His creed going on in this book as well! I am the good shepherd John 10:14. The good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep John 10:11. The clergy did not give themselves for you Jesus did. The Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Matthew 20:28. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me John 5:39. Whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:14-17. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: John 3:36. And that believing ye might have life through his name. John 20:30-31. Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, he will also confess before my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 10:32. Don't get excited, beware of men and their answers that God has nothing to do with. Matthew 24:3-8 False prophets Matthew 24:11 Iniquity shall abound Matthew 24:12 Gospel to be preached among all nations Matthew 24:14 The Church (Christ's believers) removed from earth to be with Christ in Heaven the one thing that stops the lordship clergy from a takeover on earth is that we can read this for ourselves.. John 14:3, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelation 19:7-10 Great tribulation Matthew 24:21-22 False Christs Matthew 24:5, Matthew 24:23-24 The real Christ to come again, this time all will serve Him. Matthew 24:29-30, Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11-16 You must look at all four Gospels in order to get the complete order of events and all the details of what has been done and what will come to the earth. When we read the Bible for ourselves we can go in mind to the time as if we are there with them. The Choice of Heaven as the police over the salvation of mankind? The person that God tells us to go to to be saved as He says in John 3;16? Let's go in mind as if we were there in Bethlehem and hear God's announcement of "Peace on earth. " I love to read the story of the shepherds abiding in the field 2, 000 years ago. When the angel appeared, the shepherds, "Were sore afraid" I guess that's only natural. Many other people in the Bible were afraid when they saw angels. It may be natural, but it's not necessary to be in fear. When they listened and heard God's good tidings, their fear was changed into peace. The shepherds enjoyed the heavenly choir, and then they applied God's word to their hearts by going to Bethlehem and seeing Jesus. Look at their joy when they returned. What a difference it made to have Jesus in their lives! God gave peace to the shepherds. When I read these verses in Luke 2 and think about the shepherds abiding in the fields, a beautiful scene comes into my mind. We also can look back a few years as we read this, the Lord has added something wonderful to the picture. We must turn the clock back 700 years and stop during the days of the prophet Micah. Being good to the word of God on the visit of the wise men, we are already blessed with the joyful news that the prophet Micah tells us that Christ would be born in Bethlehem. (Read Micah 5:2). Then the Spirit urged us to go back a few verses and read where Micah talks about a tower. (Read Micah 4:8). This "Tower of the flock" reminds us that the shepherds in Luke 2 would also have a tower. Although this tower is not mentioned in the Gospel of Luke, it is a beautiful part of Bethlehem's countryside. It's called, "The Tower of Edar. " This tower is where the shepherds would sit and keep watch over the flock. They would be ever on the alert for hungry animals, like lions and wolves. We also today have to do this in the Lordship of Men who want to rule over God’s John 3:16 people who are in God we Trust people. They would also observe the sheep to see if there were any wanderers. For the sake of clarity, we should take note that these verses in Micah are referring to the LORD'S coming kingdom. This leads us to observe something wonderful. Both the first Coming of Christ and the Coming of His kingdom are related to a location with a tower of the flock. This is no surprise, of course, because, "The Lord is my shepherd. " (Read Psalm 23). I'd like to go back a few verses and notice another similarity. (Read Micah 4:3). "Beat their swords into plowshares" reminds me that one day this babe of Bethlehem was the great king who will bring a true and lasting peace on earth. Even though our cities today are filled with weapons of war, He gives us hope. God will give peace to the soldiers. Then we can turn back the Bethlehem clock again. This time let's go another thousand years and stop during the days of Jacob. (Read Genesis 35:16-22). Jacob's beloved wife Rachel is great with child! After Benjamin is safely born, Rachel dies. As I was reading God's Word, I thought of how often we celebrate someone's joy, while sharing the grief of someone else. (Read Ecclesiastes 3:1-8). Jacob shows us a believer who chooses hope for the living, and love for the dearly departed. Then a short time later, Jacob's family came to "the tower of Edar. " We read that one of Jacob's sons doesn't have respect for his father's grief. The memory of the "tower of Edar" is stained by the sin of Reuben. How can we talk about such things at Christmas? It reminds us of the truth, that the babe of Bethlehem came into the world to save sinners. (Read 1 Timothy 1:15). There is no peace unless you have peace with Him. God gives peace to sinners who trust in Jesus. (Read Romans 5:1-2 John 3:16). During Jesus' time Rome was the current oppressor of the Jews and the Jews were yearning for Messiah; hoping for a military/political deliverer. Even John, the Baptist, who had correctly pointed out Christ as, ".. . The lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world" (John 1:29), required reassurance when he found himself in prison with nothing much happening on the political front. (Matthew 11:2-6). The Old Testament prophecies pointed to Jesus. Those who reject Jesus and are still waiting for Messiah are awaiting another who can fulfil the same prophecies. To accept less in their Messiah would require changing their interpretation of (or confidence in) the Old Covenant as the way. Jesus claimed to be the Messiah, the Son of God. As is often pointed out, Jesus is either who he says he is or else he is a liar. And we know who is the father of lies. (John 8:44). We acknowledge the truthfulness of Jesus! Luke 4:17-21, John 5:17-18, John 10:24-30, John 10:36-38, Luke 22:66-71, Matthew 26:63-64. Demons acknowledged that he was the son of God. And they certainly had no reason to advance his claim. Matthew 8:28-29, Mark 3:11, Luke 4:41 Satan attempted to neutralize Jesus by offering temptation. If Jesus was not the Christ why would Satan be concerned? Luke 4:1-13, Matthew 4:8-11 God the Holy Spirit and God the Father certified Jesus as the Son of God. Mark 1:9-11, Matthew 17:1-5 Highlights of Messiah's activity on earth as we teach it and you can read about it. Anyone can understand this and can teach this to their children. The first advent: On this trip Messiah had a greater goal than merely relieving Israel of yet another local oppressor. Christ was here to purchase redemption from sin for all of mankind, Jews and Gentiles alike. Birth: "In thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed. " Genesis 12:3. "Thou shalt call his name JESUS, for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21. "Unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. " Luke 2:11. Teaching: ".. . The Son of man came... to give his life a ransom for many. " Mark 10:45. ".. . and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day. " Mark 9:31. "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life" John 3:36. Death: "And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him;" Luke 22:2. "And they crucified him. " Matthew 27:35. "In a new sepulcher.. . they laid Jesus, " John 19:38-42. Resurrection: "He is not here, but has risen:" Luke 24:6-7. ".. . He rose again the third day" 1 Corinthians 15:1-8. Ascension: "He was received up into Heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. " Mark 16:19. Currently: Christ sits at the right hand of the Father making intercession for his believers. In Heaven: "His Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things" Hebrews 1:1-3. " set him in his own right hand in the heavenly places, " Ephesians 1:19-23. Making intercession: "Christ, maketh intercession for us. ". Romans 8:34. "He ever liveth to make intercession for them. ". Hebrews 7:25 The rapture: Christ will return in the air and call home his church who are people He saved through His blood, those who believe in him. This is not "The Second coming" of Christ for he will not set foot on earth. He will simply remove his believers from earth to Heaven. Note: "Believers" are not limited to any specific race, God has only one Human race, all of us coming from Adam and one woman Eve. because this Jesus is He that person of Gen 1:1- John 1 1-4 Because He has no such thing as us and them or a religion. The differentiation is their relationship with Christ Jesus and if that person is saved through this Jesus they are already His.. Beware of men end timing you with things that are not what God says will happen first, Corvid-19 is not one of the last seven plagues to come; the Rapture has not happened because did you see Jesus coming in the air as God tells us we all will? "I will come again, and receive you unto myself. " John 14:1-6. "And so shall we ever be with the Lord. " 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17. Tribulation: Much will happen during the few years between the rapture of the church (Christ's bride, his believers) and Christ's second coming. The people remaining on earth after the rapture will all be non-believers, including a large number of Jews. During this period the population of earth will experience terrible retribution for their rejection of God and His Son, Jesus Christ. Rather than repent and turn to God the world will embrace a false Messiah. Big mistake. A few will come to understand and will turn to Christ but will pay for their newfound belief with their lives. "And the rest of the men who were not killed by these plagues yet repented not.. . " Revelation 9:20-21. "I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the Word of God,... " Revelation 20:4. Second coming: After the tribulation period is complete God will keep his promise to Israel and will send his Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to rule as King upon the throne of David. His first action will be to defeat the armies of the world (battle of Armageddon) and bring them into submission to himself. The Revelation: To see Christ Jesus coming in the air will be the biggest shock of all time as people realize their mistake in rejecting him on his first trip to earth. "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kinds of the earth shall wail because of him. ". Revelation 1:7. "And I saw Heaven open". Revelation 19:11-16. The unbelieving world attempts to repel Christ: ", The beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him, " Revelation 19:19-21. Christ reigns upon the throne of David for a thousand years: "And an angel, laid hold on the dragon, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled;". Revelation 20:1-3. "I have set my king upon my holy hill of Zion, " Psalm 2:1-12. "And I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. " Revelation 20:4. One last attempt to rebel against Christ: "Satan, shall go out to deceive the nations, " Revelation 20:7-10. Final judgement (by God) of those who rejected Christ, the Son of God: "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. ". Revelation 20:11-15. The bride, the Lamb's wife, dwelling forever in the New Jerusalem: "And I saw no temple in it; for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. " Revelation 21:1-7. This the Jesus of the scriptures did for us, another look! . No clergy did this for you, Jesus is the only one who went to the cross for you!!! Slick the preacher did not die for you. Jeffersonville Topix/Craigslist replacement » Levee road water billing increase
learned the other day that levee rd water will increase your bill to $ 23. 50 whether you use a drop or 2000 gallon.... so it is that the people who conserve and use the least amount, now have the greatest increase. do you think this is fair? I don't.... it should be that there is either a proportional increase across the whole range, or better yet, those who waste water, need to pay for it. someone should start a petition in opposition to this.. let me tell you, once they have done it, it will never be undone.. .

When a man calls you out on things that God has fulfilled it’s time to seek another church. Any church that is under the cross is God’s work Men want money and power, money by saying that the tithe is now money, but the tithe was always just food to keep a priest, food in the store house, men change it to money, so they could live large in the world, men want the power so they make people think that they are John, Peter, Matthew, or Paul their story is just like them as they seek to deceived, they come with a sabbath, a Holy day, new moon, some old feast day, or even a new one if you will believe them they seek you to look to them taking you from the savior, they do sell salvation and their flavor of what God is, God did not tell men to have a school, or take over the children. But God did let humans have church the way they wanted it, with Him calling them back to Him or those who John 3:16 their way to Him before the end Rev. 18:1-4 He did not tell them to have, or start a college, but many did so, they could have their flower and flavor of what God is. DEFINITION: The New Testament, New Covenant church defines the Church as the physical manifestation of Christ, and that the church is the bride, also called His Body and as the Bride the people is who He will return for, they are the all Christian all New Covenant people of Christ. People can be the church anywhere. Matthew 18:20 because the church is in the people. And for one person to have the only way is a sin to those who say and have such a teaching. One day He will call all of His people back out of all the churches under the cross, Rev. 18:1-4 The word actually means “the called out ones” or “dedicated to the Lord. ” The church is the spiritual body through which Christ works in the world. No man has the power to keep what Jesus paid for, or to take them from Him. FACTS ABOUT CHURCH MEMBERSHIP: God places a human into His book of Life and only God and Heaven can take us out.
